Kreamer Manufacturing, is embossed on the bottom. This tin was painted in the 1950's by an artisan on Cape Ann. MA. She used antique trays, boxes, pitchers, scoops, etc. for the base of her art. In the Cape Ann area there was no shortage of good antique metalware to use. The clear lacquer. And some of the paint, has reticulated in some areas. Description: EXCEPTIONAL. Early 19th Century TIN DOCUMENT BOX, in Original condition. CHROMOLITHOGRAPHIC FLORAL DECORATION. Done in a classic TOLEWARE Style, is still 90% or better complete, better than I have ever found in this area. ALL ORIGINAL. The colors of Turquoise, Red, and Yellow, though now muted with age, are still relatively bright. Many of these old Tin boxes were faded over the years, or worn, so were then handpainted over the decoration. This one is ALL ORIGINAL, and has never been altered or painted over. Even the TRIM lines are still relatively complete. Again. There is WEAR and muting, but still very very discernible and bright, without being garish. Large-domed lid still has most of the golden TRIM around it. Even the golden DECORATION around the top handle is still nearly complete. SIZE: Approx 9 1/2" long. 8 3/4" ... morehigh. Not counting handle. 6 1/8" deep. CONDITION: Very very good. Best I have ever had. HOWEVER, the LATCH is MISSING. I can pick up by handle and it stays closed, when EMPTY. One small, 1" sep at back. Antique Decorated Toleware Water Can and Basin
Here is a very nice antique decorated toleware tin water can and a basin. The water can measures 16 1/4"H from the base to the top of the handle. From the top of the can to the bottom. It is 11 1/4. It is 8" in diameter where the top of the can meets the handle, and 10" in diameter at its base. The basin is 4" deep and 15" in diameter. Both pieces are beautifully painted. There is some paint loss in areas on the water can, a few spots on the face of the spout, underneath the pouring handle, the lid rim area, and one or two small areas on the can sides} But this would be expected on pieces of this age. Please see all pictures as they are part of the description. Overall, this is a very decorative antique piece fresh from a high end New Hampshire estate. Pair Antique Painted Tole Lily Flowers Set Into Decorated Terracotta Pots
This pair of tole flowers were set using plaster into two 4 1/2" diameter terracotta pots and stand 19 1/2" tall. The pot alone is 4" high. The flowers come out of the plaster and can be rotated in any direction. The metal flowers are in an original old painted finish. We added the black decoration to the pots some years ago. We believe them to be mid 19th century and French.

This is a tin canister. Toleware. It is 13" across and 5" high. Which is relatively large. The inside of the cover can serve as a tray. It is old and there is some rust on the inside. ANTIQUE PAINTED DECORATED TIN & GLASS BAYER'S THUROSCOPE "WINDOW MIRROR" C. 1900
This Thuroscope is quite a rare gadget that dates from about 1900. In a search online. We found a reference to a Thuroscope in a newspaper ad in The Utica Sunday Tribune in February 1900. The text of the ad reads: Thuroscope or Window Mirror. To place outside the window so objects can be seen up or down the street from inside the house. See them. Elting& Gray, 64 Genesee St. The Thuroscope is made of tin and glass. The tin is beautifully decorated with a gold banner in the center on which are the words"Bayer's Thuroscope" A leafy wreath encircles the banner. A red bow is at the bottom of the wreath. A flaming torch with a small version of the same wreath overlaying the torch is depicted on each of the two side panels. The rest of the tin is painted black. Two mirrors are on the back side. On the top 1 inch wide tin edges ... moreare thin tin enclosures that appear to be for the purpose of holding wires to attach something or to suspend the Thuroscope. There is a separate rectangular piece that is composed of black painted tin and a glass mirror. This separate piece has a wire inserted into tin channels on its narrow edge. This wire can be moved up and down at different angles. Its free end may have been inserted into something else. Possibly one of the tin channels on top of the main piece. Or alternatively, the purpose of the movable wire may have been to adjust the angle of this separate mirror. It has another tin channel on the back for inserting a wire also. We are scratching our heads over how this was placed relative to a window and how the two pieces worked with each other to capture views from up and down the street. There are signs of wear, some scratches and minor losses to the paint and soiling. We have left it uncleaned and untampered with. The condition of the paint and decoration is excellent for its age. The larger one is made to hang on a wall& features pie crust crimping along the edge& hand painted tole decoration on the holder. The smaller matchsafe was made in the style of a book& opens/closes like a book cover. Hand painted tole decoration on the front is quite worn. One edge of the match holder could be resoldered. the book cover does not close tightly. These pieces would date from the early 1900's. Antique Hand Painted Toleware Tole Bowl PA Dutch Wash Bowl Decorated Basin
Here is a beautiful antique. Pennsylvania Dutch, hand-painted, toleware bowl or basin, with a great motif of stylized flowers with leaf y stems. Both inside and out. The decoration goes all the way around the bowl and has great color and style. This bowl has a great rolled rim. And it measures 16" in diameter on top. 11" in diameter on the bottom, and is 5 1/2" tall. It is in excellent condition, although slightly out of skew. There is no rust on this piece, although there is gentle edge wear consistent with being antique. The bowl is made of five pieces of heavy-gauge tin or steel all welded to gether. Large Antique Orig Metal decorated Toleware Tole Scoop Raspberries ForgetMeNots
Excellent and hard to find large size antique tole scoop. Substantial Measurments 13" long by 6" at midpoint. Approx 4-1/2" deep. Decoration fills the top piece completely. Includes 4 large red raspberries. Foliage, and numerous small blue flowers with yellow centers and white highlights. Added dark yellow(gold) pinstriping and flourishes. Handle decorated with vine and leaves. Inside contrasting paint. Backside all black. Has hole for hanging. Extreme edge of scoop has 3/8" area of roughness as this must have actually been used. Interior rear and upper edges have darkening. I've chosen not to attempt removal; also some rusting tones. Always thought better left alone as they do not detract from the outer appearance. Original 19thC Antique Toleware Tole Decorated Dome Top Deed Box Document Trunk
Charming original 19th century dome top document box.Measures 7-3/4" 4" x 4-3/4" without handle) Front side has triple border in gold(yellow) red and green. Maple-like leaves. Red fruit, yellow flurishes and dots. Working hinge, clasp and handle. 1/4" opening at one corner of the lid shows 1/2" solder line inside only; certainly very old and not noticable. Lid has large yellow motif in center; sides of base and lid have yellow borders as well. Expected age appropriate surface wear/paint loss; please see pics. Lid has 1/4" spot where mended long ago(see pics) not noticible on outside, see the dot on right side of pic. inside surfaces have rusting tones to unpainted surfaces.
