Orvis Battenkill 9' in the 3/2 format. 3 pieces with two tips(4 pieces total) and it throws a 8/9 wght line very nicely. This is a unique format for a Orvis rod and it i s in very good original condition and has an aluminum reel seat with down-locking collar and ring. Black ferrules, and steel guides. All pieces are straight and full, with each bearing serial#38486. The bag and tube are original with the tube's label being 50% intact. The tube has a few dings in it. This rod was produced in 1964 by George Reid and Calvin Skinner

These linens all came from the same estate which included 1950's-1960's clothing. The 2 sets in the back each have a matching pillow case. The set on the back left has small stains on both(pics 5-7) and has lovely embroidered accents. The set on the right back has one stained and one unstained case(pics 8-11) They are each tagged Robinson& Cleaver. Belfast and London. The case on the front left is monogrammed(a"J" and has scalloped edges(pic 2-3) It has a stain. The one on the front right has no stains. 2 Vintage Brass/Nickel Match Stick Boxes by Marble’s& Everdry. These are two older match safes. The first is made by the MARBLE CO. Brass. This one stands 2 ½ inches. Though even the newer ones have the PAT date. 1900” This one has the company in Gladstone MICH. USA. The newer ones are no longer made in the US. The Marble’s Match Safe was the one taken by Charles Lindbergh on his flight across the Atlantic Ocean. The second one is the EVERDY made by the PARK SHERMAN CO in Springfield ILL. This one measures 2 5/8 inches. This has a nickel finish and loop to hang from a key chain. Both show some age but they are still in very good condition.

And one from a Washington, DC area bar called'Kangaroo Katies' I found these at an estate sale, in a big plastic bag with a bunch of other match boxes. Both are empty and in good condition, just a little normal age-related wear(please see my photos) I don't know their exact ages, but the other match boxes I have found in this same bag were from 1979-80, so I'm presuming these are about that old as well. This early 20th Century hinged 2-compartment wooden match holder belonged to my husband's grandparents; it was from their Allegheny Mt"vacation/hunting cabin" in Western Pennsylvania. The box is constructed of what appears to be mahogany. A wooden peg opens the front compartment; the 2 hinges are brass; the strap inside the"drawer" is heavy coarse-grain ribbon; and the wall hanging hook on the back is metal. This piece dates to the mid to late 19th century. we do not know the maker.This piece stands approximately 29 5/8" H x 17.75"D x 17.75" W. An elegant square pedestal base rises with a pedestal column to the base of the drawer bank. The base has bun feet with the original casters. This has two drawers that have their original brass key holes. We do no thave the key. Bu tthe drawers are unlocked. The drawers slide smoothly in and out. The top has a flame match book veneer that is absolutely stunning. Each side has a drop leaf side that measures approximately 8.50" x 17.75' This has been refinished with a high gloss and is room ready. antique victorian walnut spool cabinet on base buying one 2 available that match
for auction is a very nice antique victorian walnut spool cabinet by coat's or clark i would say. the stickers are gone at this point on the cabinets. i have two pictured. If you win the auction, you may have the other one for the same price. but this auction is only for one cabinet, which ever you choose. a little history. these came out of the newburg mercantile that closed in the 1950's. the ladies father that owned the store keep these and some other store items. she passed away and her daughter had an auction a few years ago and i purchased these two spool cabinets and an oak one with 9 drawers. these have 6 drawers. all three of the cabinets have bases. i asked the daughter when the bases were added to them and she said she did not know, but i could ask an elderly lady that was at the auction who worked in the store in the 1940's. ... moreanyway, i asked her and she told me that the spool cabinets had always had bases or at least from 1940. they look to be original to the cabinets and show the same age wood and patina. the legs and base boards all match the contours of the cabinets. i have actually never seen spool cabinets with bases, but i know i have not seen everything. these may have been special order or possibly handcrafted to the most excellent fashion. actually with the bases they make great end tables or night stands as they are 30 inches tall. these cabinets are almost identical except the pulls are different. they are 28.75 inches wide, 18.5 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. they are in near mint condition with no deficiencies to point out. again this auction is for one cabinet only. i would list them separately and also the oak one, but ebay just allows me to list 59 or 60 items, actually 60 but when i get to 59 they cut me off. i will be listing the oak one that is very very nice as soon as i can. again, if you win this auction, i am giving you the option to buy the other one for the same price,if you do not want it, i will list it alone or offer it to the next highest bidder. they are wond

4 Vintage Toothpick or Match Holders - 2 Clear - 1 Amber - 1 Green Glass
I am presenting 4 very nice Toothpick or Match Holders for your viewing. This is not my area of expertise so I will describe them thoroughly along with the pictures. 1. This very elegant Amber glass is in the Diamond Pattern I have been told. It is 2 1/2" tall and 2" across. The diamond pattern is above and below and a clear paneled pattern in the middle. The bottom is a swirled pattern. I find no chips. Cracks or other damage using the visual and feel test. 2. This toothpick is clear pressed glass in a barrel shape. I believe 3 of the top points have a tiny piece missing. It measures 2 1/4" high and 1 1/2" at the opening. The barrel shape is very unique with the center divided by a 3/8" wide hobnail design. I find no other chips or cracks. There is something written on the bottom which I cannot read. The bottom has ... morea small clear circle with swirls to the spot that meets with the main design. 3. This toothpick is clear glass in an urn shape. It is crystal clear glass in the Daisy Button pattern. It has handles on each side. It stands 2 1/2" high and is 2 1/2" wide from handle to handle. The opening is 3/4" This also has a swirl bottom. I find no chips. Cracks or other damage. 4. Last is a small green barrel shaped toothpick or shot glass. It is 2" tall. It has TEQUILA CUERVO written on the top border on both sides. I find no damage to this glass also. There is an old tag on the inside. Priority shipping USA. Please contact me with any questions. We are offering a 3 7/8" tall toothpick or match holder with two boys or cherubs holding a barrel. The toothpick/match holder is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, scratches, or staining. It is considered an EAPG piece but it was reissued at some time. We do not know whether this one is original. The bottom has a hole, which could have been used as a candle holder when turned upside down.
