Charles Deane of the E of Sandwich Indiaman/who wintered there in 1776. Near the bottom left: NB This plan was/ laid down by Capt. James/ Holdane then Chief Mate/ of the Sandwich. Spring tide rises 4 or 5 feet. There is then the imprint of the Hydrographical Office with the price of six pence. There is also a note in top centre: Variation 2o E in 1858. Victorian Browning Map of China and Japan Nov 10th 1894. Hand Drawn?
Map of China and Japan by Browning dated Nov 10th 1894. It looks hand drawn but I'm no expert so perhaps it's a print of the original. Possibly could have come from a book as the size is 33 cm by 27 cm approximately high. Edges are frayed slight tear on the far left mid way but his doesn't intrude into the map. Please see photos for details of condition etc. Faint pencil mark and initials"CLH" are evident. See photos. I've no idea of its value so have left it for you to decide by starting at a very low price.
