Very scarce complete 1835 Atlas.Designed to illustrate the Geography of the Heavens by Elijah H. Burritt,A.M. New Edition Published by Huntington and Savage. The book contains 8 plates,7 are colored(I believe hand colored) and one plain plate. The binding has been repaired with white thread and the pages may have been put back in the book in a different order. Some of the thread has been pulled away from the pages. The book has some staining and foxing and may have some small rips or tears but the pages seem to be in pretty good condition. Map plates 4+5 have a black ink drop on the top of the page. This book had a paper cover folded onto the covers like a book cover which may have helped keep the covers in such good shape for so long.
