So beautiful! It is without a doubt one of those once in a lifetime pieces. One that you only see in your favorite ... moremagazine in someone else's home and you think to yourself. WOW! What a great lamp. I would love to find one like that but you never do. LOL! I've done it many times. The lamp is all wood. Very heavy- 22 pounds. Done with a garland of swags featuring all hand carved barbola style guilded roses and leaves and flowers around the center. The top is done in a column style. The paint is a creamy white and it's so perfectly chippy and shabby. OMG! I just couldn't get over it. This is one of those pieces that I really don't want to sell. One that I am in no hurry to sell because I can enjoy it while it sits here. I just loooove it. It stands approx 31.5" tall. Like I said, it has some chippy paint. Especially at the very tops of the 4"corners" so-to-speak. I know it's round but I don't know how else to explain them. I guess I could call them blocks. There's a little crack in the front and another one in the back. Looks to me to be just a split where the wood meets. Nothing that can't be glued with wood glue. It's not perfect, but in pretty good shape considering this is one of the old ones. There are a few scratches on the paint(please see all pics) but not bad and it still displays very well. This plaque measures a little over 11 1/4" long and is almost 5 1/4" wide. It's 3/8" thick. It has a hanger on the back. You can see the age of the piece by looking on the back. Vintage Italian Renaissance Italy Florentine Gold Gilt Gesso Wooden Wood Box
Here's a very old Florentine wood with a gesso design. Gold paint/gilt trinket box with a romantic picture on top. It's small, measuring 4" square and is a little over 1 1/2" tall. It has 2 crude metal hinges on the back. The gold paint isn't perfect, and is scratched up here and there due to age, especially on the corners, but it is still nice and the gold paint that is there shines very brightly and it displays very well. I guess you'd say it has a very nice, overall patina. You can see how old it is by the inside of the box. The wood is sturdy. This is a vintage. Gold gilt florentine magazine holder. Recently purchased at an estate sale, I am unsure of it's age. It is unmarked. In good, used and vintage condition, there are a few issues worth mentioning. Most importantly, there is a small dent and crack in the wood on one of the bottom edges. This can be seen in the second picture. In addition, it looks like there is another hairline crack on one of the feet. I can't tell if it is a manufacturing thing of a flaw. Finally, the entire piece has some paint loss and some small chips. The rack measures about 14 1/2" across, 17" tall and 7" deep. Still very pretty, it will make a useful addition to any room. Vintage Italian Tole Florentine Waste Basket Gilt Hollywood Regency
Lovely small vintage Florentine toleware wastebasket Stamped Made In Italy. It has the original Florentia sticker on the bottom. The waste basket is done with a scallop ed top and bottom. It has a lovely gold gilt design on cream color. It stands about 11 3/4" and is about 10 3/8" in diameter at the top narrowing to about 4 1/2" in diameter at the bottom. It is in good condition with some wear to the paint especially on the top and the bottom as you can see from the photos A great piece for decorating a Hollywood Regency or French home. 10 1/2 x 10(top) Florentine gilt gold green trash can Inside has some wear on sides with small spots of finish missing outside paisley scroll good condition black mark near outside seam near top(finish flaw? I can't tell) Note: crack in bottom of can shows inside and out- will not hold water. But good for trash Top edge has no cracks or chips nice vintage shabby chic can Payments due within three days auction close.
