The Bowl is the finest I can remember selling in a very long time with amazing Repousse Floral and Half Reed designs to the bowl and then the half reed pattern repeated on the base. I particularly love the large and dramatic Figural Lion Head and Ring Handles. Always a sign of fine quality. The Punch Bowl is one of the largest and most impressive examples I have sold measuring 12-1/2" across the top by 7-1/4" tall and holding 25 cups, which would translate into approx 40-50 Punch Cups worth, certainly enough for a large party. The Bowl is in beautiful condition the Silver is just gleaming and there is no dents, cracks, holes or repairs. The Bowl is marked on the bottom Silver on Copper as all the best examples were and the quality is top notch, I am surprised it is not marked for Barker Ellis or Birks Regency Plate. Overall this is a gorgeous large and impressive bowl perfect for a party or wedding. I doubt you will find another as nice up for auction any time soon, especially with no reserve!

The ring bears a very elaborate pattern on the sides of the band wrapping most all of the way around to the back of the band. This particular piece is of high bronze/brass/copper content, so the ring looks quite a lot like gold, enough so that it would fool a lot of people. The ring is quite substantial. And the design of the ring and the detailed metal work evidenced in the bezel and bands is very elaborate! There is however some very light wear to the sides of the band toward the back of the textured pattern, and it has been slightly flattened by wear. The bezel either mimics a flower(something looking like a sunflower) or is supposed to suggest a large central gemstone flanked by a circumferential perimeter of accent stones(the inspiration still a flower) The bands as you can see are sculpted with a raised beaded rope which embellishes the entire bezel. All of the metal work exhibits very fine workmanship, and is entirely intact- though it is obvious that the ring was worn in life. As mentioned the ring does show some moderate overall wear. But of course you must keep in mind that the ring was produced by an artisan and sold to a patron or consumer with the idea that the ring would be enjoyed and worn by the purchased.
