This was a rather primitive technique as opposed to rings which were cast in one piece, bands and bezel unified and not created separately- much like the style of a contemporary ring. The bezel either mimics a flower(something looking like a sunflower) or is supposed to suggest a large central gemstone flanked by a circumferential perimeter of accent stones(the inspiration still a flower) The bands as you can see are sculpted with a raised beaded rope which embellishes the entire bezel. All of the metal work exhibits very fine workmanship, and is entirely intact- though it is obvious that the ring was worn in life. As mentioned the ring does show some moderate overall wear. But of course you must keep in mind that the ring was produced by an artisan and sold to a patron or consumer with the idea that the ring would be enjoyed and worn by the purchased. And without any regard to twenty-first century posterity, that precisely what happened! Unusual Medieval Silver from Sword Sheath or similar?
This was a metal detecting find by myself many years ago. Strangely it was found on a Roman site. Registered with the finds liason officer for the region at the time and deemed possibly medieval but unknown. The item confirmed as silver. This find consisted of two parts rolled tightly together. When separated one piece was found to be larger with a chevron-like design on it whilst the other was thinner with no design. I suspect that they could be restored better but I didn't want to touch them. Larger piece approx. 2" x 1.5" Smaller is approx. 1" x 0.5" Would clean up nice and worth a little more research. I would be interested if anyone had any ideas what they could be from. I did think a sword maybe but am not sure

Look at its shape, it isn't a usual one! Nice and exciting, hard to find in this condition. The axe was made around 600-800 AD! I suggest it could be great for both collectors both history lovers. Rare real antique over 300 years old Medieval Renaissance era 17th century GOLD DIAMOND RING Rare rectangular table step cut diamond: very white(colorless) Crystal clear(VS clarity)very large(diamond bezel is 7.86 x 6.65 mm, diamond depth is 2.4mm) no fluorescence. The diamond bezel is set off by elaborate sculpted shoulders and bears traces of enamel. The ring is currently size 8.5 US. High quality craftsmanship with precition of a sculptor and a painter! Really nice medieval bronze mace head! RARE!
Item: As you can see in the pictures i offer you this great looking medieval spiked mace head. The mace head is from an old private collection but it wasn't cleaned before. It is a nice one. Without any defect. It is a really unique piece. Due to it's sm all size! But don't be surprised. This small weapon was really fast and it could cause painful wounds. Or crack bones. The photos speak for themselfes! The key was made around 1150-1300 AD! I suggest this nice piece could be great for both collectors both history lovers! The item is 3 centimeters tall. 4,5 centimeters wide at the widest point. The shaf t hole is roun and it's diameter is 1.9 centimeters at the bottom, and 1,6 centimeters at the top. Ancient Bronze Scandinavian Finger Ring Viking Medieval Norway Size 7
Here is an ancient Viking-era bronze ring from the 9th- 12th century from Norway. This ring is a size 7. And it is very wearable as you can see from the hand of my male model. The bronze is somewhat pitted from centuries of being buried in the soil. I can't identify the design on the bezel, but it is similar to Viking patterns. When one wears ancient bronze rings or bracelets. The natural chemistry of the skin brings out a wonderful lustre to the artefact. Bronze needs to be worn to glow.
