This listing is for a very nice candlestick holder made of solid bronze and brass metal. This candlestick is a fine ornate church paschal from the 19th century and is probably of French origin. See the" Fleur de Lys" pattern on the base. The candlestick holder has been converted to a floor lamp before 1978(year I inherited) and has been used as a home accent with an antique lampshade(see last picture) The lampshade is not include in this auction. 3 Glass Pyrex Candle Followers Church Altar 1 1/8" Catholic Mass Liturgy Antique
This is a set of 3 older Pyrex glass candle followers. They are not in pristine condition. But there is no noticeable damage to them other than a little dirt/soot/wax residue. They are sized to fit a 1 1/8" candle. The bottom opening of the followers measures about 1.25" and the height of the followers is exactly 2" I've looked. But I can't find anywhere that they sell these new anymore. The closest thing I can find would be probably $30-35 each for this size. I will begin bidding on these at less than 1/2 the cost of this estimate for new, with free shipping to boot. I would like to sell these to a Christian church or religious institution.

We have here a wonderful architectural find. Built in 1891 by the fine firm of Irving and Casson. The altar is sound and in overal very good condition. It has suffered some bumps and bruises. Most egregious are some water stains on the top. It does retain it's original label from Irving and Casson with description on church it was for etc. Plaque on front with dedication. They are sized to fit a 1 1/8" candle and this is even stamped on the outside of the followers. I've even used them on 1 1/4" candles and they'll barely fit over them, but pretty snugly. The bottom opening of the followers measures about 1.25" with an outside bottom diameter of about 1.5" and the height of the followers is 1.8" In looking at the Root Candle Company's website. This is a set of 9 antique. Brass bove candle followers. They fit a 7/8" candle(They are"size 0" in the traditional old classification system) The bottom opening of the followers measures about 0.95" and they stand about 1 5/8" high. One of the interesting thing about these old, antique bove followers is that they are heavy around the bottom because there is a bead of lead to hold them down and make them"follow" well. It is kind of amusing, because they must have not had a mechanized process to put that in these in the days that these old ones were made. Some have a very heavy bead of lead, others less so. They are not all an exact standard weight like things produced today- these are the old, old ones. These sick call boxes or miniature altars were kept on hand for when a pries made a house call in the case of sickness or near death. I believe this to be circa 1909. This one still has the cross or crucifix. Palm, plate(communion) spoon and cloth(for polishing? in the little box that opens. When that little box is open, the ornate candle holders can be seen and used. The upper box contains a colored chalk statue of Mary or the Blessed Mother holding her dead son(Jesus) in her lap. The glass in painted. On the bottom of the picture of the last supper. It has the name of all apostles. It also says Blessed Be Thy Holy Name and IHS. This fabulous antique which measures 23X13X4. This is a beautiful antique Christian Shrine/Altar music box from the 40's. Made by Noma Light Co. Which is the same company famous for its Christmas Bubble Lights. It is ornately decorated with removable chalkware figures(Jesus& 2 Angels) Painted with the picture of the"Last Super" and adorned with frosted glass rod candles and frosted glass cross, which illuminate the color of desired bulb used. It is lighted and does work, however, a couple of the rubber grips on the candles are loose, so they do not stand a correct height. A little touch of glue could remedy that. The music box does not work( possibly could be repaired) The bottom of the altar is made of wood and can be removed for access to music box and light bulb. Pair Antique Brass Church Altar Candle Sticks Cherubs Angels
This is a great-looking pair of antique brass church altar candlesticks with cherubs/angels on them. I'm not certain how old they are. But I would estimate they date circa 1900. Each measures 23 1/2 inches tall(60 cm) They are 8 1/2 inches wide across the feet(21.6 cm) I think these are really special because they each have three cherubs going around them. The cherubs appear to be silverplate over brass. The feet are each an animal paw with a ball beneath it. They are beautifully designed. As you can see in the photos. They are each covered in tarnish. I'm not sure if this can be cleaned or if you'd even want to. The candle holders on top are each bent a little and one has a small break in it. The screws on the bottom insides of each are rusted in place. The individual pieces of the candlesticks can be turned around because of ... morethis. You can basically shape it as you like. I've tried but I cannot tighten them up. But they still hold up well. They are each a little crooked, probably because they cannot be fully tightened up. Even given these issues. This auction is for a pair or set of two 19 3/8" tall Baroque styled Altar candlesticks from a Catholic Church. I think these are what they call the"Holy Family" set. Because they have facial images on all three sides of the base, of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. There is a little damage on the base of the shaft of one of them. The finish on them is pretty decent for an older pair like this- it looks like somebody must have polished them at some point. Smoke Cap Heat Shield Sanctuary Lamp Cover Tabernacle Vigil Candle Antique Altar
This is a smoke-cap. Heat-shield, sanctuary-lamp-cover to be placed over the glass globe of a sanctuary lamp in a church. This one is a very common, traditional style but made of a lighter, thinner metal than most of this style. The primary thing that is a little different about this one is it's odd color. Almost all of these that I have ever seen(and I've seen a number of them) are brass/gold in color. This one is more of a real dark brown, almost blackish or dark antique bronze. Be clear before you bid that this is NOT Brass in color. This one is different. The pictures show the dimensions and what you will be getting if you purchase this one. I can't determine what the underlying metal is or if it would shine up with some work.

Antique Brass Sanctuary Altar Sanctus 5 Bell Set Catholic Mass Chime Sacristy
This auction is for a set of altar bells(5 bells connected on one handle-stem) that have a pretty heavy tarnish/patina. This bell set is pretty small- only 5 1/4" tall and 4 3/4" wide from the outside of one bell cup to the other on the opposite side. Cute little set- particularly nice for a smaller chapel. Etc. However, please be aware that these will NOT give you the loud, rich, harmonious sound of the typical 4-bell chimes, because those have 4 different sized bells with different tones and also have three clappers under each bell cup. This little set cannot give the same sound as the traditional chime sets. These are nice, but not AS nice as the sound of the traditional larger ones- these are just a little simpler and more monotone in sound.
