It measures 15x15 inches(give or take cause it was hand carved) it's hand carved and hand painted, it's really different, only chip on it is shown in picture 3 but very small(see pic. 4) looks like thats where it was hung from, there are no markings or name on it. Folk Art Circa 1940 Hand Carved Wooden Eagle Pin Signed Rare Vintage Unusual
Here is a hand carved wood very detailed eagle. When I purchased this at a tag sale recently everyone was passing it up. When I picked it up the woman behind the table said it was from Germany and in the bag with the eagle is a piece of paper which reads(Circa 1940. Hand- crafted Valuable) The piece is signed MB or it could be a MR. Eagle is very detailed and very nicely painted with perfect detail. On the top of the eagles head is a fine crack in the paint which is probably from age. On the eagles wing tip 2 and 4 have the top chipped off. Then there is 2 very small places that the paint has come off and it blends in with all the other brown on the eagle. Hello and thank you for your interest in my auction. This listing is for the exquisite hand carved Black Forest bear bookends seen in the photos. These are quite heavy pieces and have very detailed workmanship. The teeth and tongues are remarkable. The eyes are glass or beads. the paint on the tongue and claws is still vibrant. There is great detail in the fur around the neck and chin. The ears and noses are not broken. The bears are dusty but I didn't want to clean them for fear of ruining the patina. The classic edges of the wood shout old world Black Forest. The dovetailed joints are fantastic. The screws used to hold the bear in place from the bottom are slotted screws as opposed to Phillips head. Approximately: one weighs 1 pound 3.5 ounces. Rare Old Vintage hand carved naked Indian lady junior cobb style door
Up for auction is this rare vintage hand carved wood door with cut out for glass. Copper, stained glass etc. This piece has been relief carved and stained and varnished with her hair being done in a deep black. This door panel measures 25 3/4" from top to bottom and 10 34" from side to side, it is 3/4" thick, the women measures 12" and is approximately 3 inches wide. The inside darker board 21 3/4" x 8 1/8" wide. The area where glass could be inserted measures 5 1/4" x 7 3/8" This piece has some basic hardware left on it but would probably be best if changed when marriages with new cabinet.Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will make every effort I can to answer them.

I am happy to offer for sale this beautiful Wooden Rocking Horse and Pull toy. When I purchased this at an estate sale I was told it is French in origin and dates to the early 1900's. It looks like it was carved from one piece of wood. I do not see any joints where the horse was put together. This was a great idea when they came up with this horse. First it could be used as a rocking horse when the child was very little and once they had gotten a little older you could take the horse off the rocker and it became a pull toy. This is a beautiful example of great workmanship and attention to detail. I do not see any cracks. Breaks or repairs anywhere on this piece. The colors everywhere on the horse are still vibrant and clear. There are some nicks and scratches but very minimal for something this old that kids would have played on for many ... morehours. I can only find a couple of minor things to mention about condition. I have taken a picture of the horses ears. While it may look like the wood is broken or chipped it is not. There is only some paint loss. Most likely from a child holding on to them as they rode. The last thing is there is some loss of hair on the tail. The dimensions of the entire rocking horse including the rocker 33" long x 28" tall x 9-1/2" wide. The measurements of just the horse are 22-1/2" tall x 22" long x 5-1/2" wide and the dimensions of the rolling skate board the horse is attached to are 25-1/2" long x 8" wide. This is one of the few items I truly considered keeping. It is such a wonderful looking reminder of many days gone by. This could be an heirloom piece that could be passed on for many more generations but in the mean time would make a wonderful display piece.
