Set of 2 hand made. Hand painted, ceramic long bill shore birds, a momma and a baby, by VG Potteries. The craftsmanship on these birds is absolutely excellent. The baby looks like he could open his mouth at any moment to be fed. Both birds are in excellent condition. No nicks, chips, flakes, cracks, or hairlines. Both are signed VG. The Mother bird measures approx. 8" in length and 3 1/2" in height. The baby bird measures approx. 5 1/2" in length and 3" in height. They came from an estate sale. The bottom of each bird has been covered in felt. I do not make money on shipping. As of 1-26-14 the USPS raised their rates.

This is a fanastic shore bird. It measures 14" long and is 1 3/4" thick. It does have a small damage on the tail. it also has a hole that the previous owner put in it cause there was 2 originally. But I have sold the other one. Very old cause he was in his 80's and he told me he had them a long time. They was tied together with a leather strap. Thanks for looking

She was taken directly from a fresh package to customize and was never played with, just handled to make and fit the outfit and repaint her face with quality acrylic paints. She has dark liner and white shadow ballanced with soft shimmery pink lips. She was the bathing-suit Willow and comes with her stand and all her wigs including the bobby pins. She still has her head wrap tightly around her hair. Her outfit consists of navy knit jacket with over-size gold buttons and white border trim. Her skirt is a crispl;y pleated white skirt with deep blue silk ribbon trim. Her thick, opaque gloves and tights are all hand made, as was the white floral print sleeveless blouse with peter-pan collar and wide neck-tie adorned with a gold and faux-pearl tie-tac. This One of a Kind Driftwood sculpture was created using natural Chesapeake Bay Driftwood. I prefer to let Mother Nature do most of the sculpting of the driftwood and I just add enough detail so that it comes to life. When I found this piece of cedar root on the beach and I knew right away that it would become my Shore Birds. Nature created the elongated necks and the graceful wings of these beautiful birds. Each bird comes to life with the gentle addition of acrylicAcrylic paint while not losing the character of the driftwood itself. I want my viewers to see first. The personality of the driftwood and then, my vision for it. A coat of polyurethane protects the finish. They would be a great addition to any waterfowl collection or beach home.

This is the first piece of signed Jervis Oyster Bay pottery I have ever found. From the few examples of Jervis pottery I have found online this copper Luster glaze must be extremely rare since I could find no examples. There are two dark blue and white hand painted or enameled shore birds( maybe Turns) on each side.The pitcher is in great condition with no chips. Cracks, or restorations just usual glaze variations associated with this type of early arts and crafts hand made pottery.The pitcher is 5" to the top of the lip 6" from tip of lip to edge of handle and 3" across base. It is signed with the impressed Jervis mark,does not have the O and B on each side so I believe it is one of there earliest items dating it between 1908 and 1910. For your consideration is this Mid Century Modern Curtis Jere metal wall sculpture from a Central Connecticut Estate.
