These are a superb pair of wooden oak corbels with the seated males of which: During our research we have been informed they date from the mid period of the 19th century and is of european origin. Dates about c1840. Certainly a quite superb and intricate pair of the carved corbels of the seated males. A left and a right. I ntricate carved decoration to the seated males both dressed in period clothing. Each sitting crossed legged with a flat area of a plinth above the head. Both are flat backed and probably were positioned on each end of a large piece of furniture of the said period. Carved in an oak and c arved in relief. Therefore a one piece carved corbels. Each has an overall height of about 13inches. Max widths of about 5.5inches. Max depth of 4.5 inches. Condition: Considering the age. Up for auction is a matching pair of King Cobra snakes. They are hand carved and look so real. It looks like they have glass eyes but it is hard to tell. Possibly beads? Hand Carved Wooden Bird Pair. 2 Primitive Folk Art Birds. Long Beaks & Legs
These two remind me of baby Cranes or Road-Runners. Long legs and beaks. Each one is hand carved using one piece of wood. Excellent details. Please see photos. The wood is light weight but heavier than balsa. Average measure is 11" tall x 4" long x 2" wide. Probably from Mexico. I can't be sure.

This wonderful pair of Wooden Pigs are made of a beautiful hard wood. I am not sure if they are book ends or not. They have flat backs but not bottoms so they don't stand flat. They are round and have chubby bellies. SOOOO CUTE! They stand about 8.5 inches tall and have a base of approx 6 inches. They weigh nearly 2 lbs each. I have no information of age. Origin, or exact wood. They are from an Estate and I would guess them to be quite old. They have a tiny bit of nicks here and there but have NO serious faults, defects, or problems. I do believe they are hand carved, and they are not perfectly the same. They would love for you to take them home.
