This is from my Grandmother's estate and it is VERY VERY OLD. It dates around the 1940s/possibly 50's. It is a porcelain or ceramic squirrel which holds everything you need to crack a nut. The piece measures 6 1/2" tall and from front to back 6" long. The squirrel shows signs of age and I'm certain that is from much use in cracking the nut. All the utensils are metal. These antique/vintage nut crackers came out of my family estate in Newton. Massachusetts. They are very old as you can note the small flathead nails in the third picture; perhaps early 20th Century. You are invited to bid on this pair of antique nutcrackers. Dating to approximately the 1880s. They are lever nutcrackers and I think they are silver plated. The cracking plates are divided into 3 parts to hold different size nuts, and they are covered with little ridges to hold nuts in place. They have nice decorative turned handles with pretty engraved& punched decoration on them. They are quite heavy and feel really nice to hold- they are clearly good quality nutcrackers. They measure almost 6.5" long. They bears no maker's marks. They are in good condition and still function well. An interesting and serviceable vintage kitchenalia piece. A Superb Full Body Old Man ANRI Nut Crackers Nutcrackers-c1920s?
This superb Set of Full Body ANRI Nut Crackers are in good vintage condition. And date I believe to around the 1920s or thereabouts. The Nut Crackers measure approximately 8 inches high and weigh around 214 grams. They are in clean condition, with some signs of wear that are commensurate with age and use. This basically consists of a chip to the back of the hat, possibly) some chips to the back of his neck where the recess is(but I am uncertain as to whether it is supposed to be carved like this-I have photographed it to show) minor nicks here and there, and a small crack at the front at his trouser waistband. However, I do not find any of these imperfections unsightly, as they are all proof of his age! The Nut Crackers are very tactile and are full of charm, and they will make an attractive and functional addition to any Nut Cracker collection.

A Rare Antique Brass YORK IMP Nut Crackers Nutcrackers-c1920s.
These rare Antique Brass YORK IMP Nut Crackers date I believe to around the 1920s or thereabouts. They measure approximately 5.25 inches high by around 1.25 inches wide. And weigh approximately 164 grams. The Nut Crackers have a depiction to both sides of 4 Gargoyle Faces, underneath which the name YORK IMP is visible in impressed letters. Beneath this there are two intertwined ropes with a Bell at the end. The Nut Crackers will make an unusual vintage addition to any similar collection, and are in excellent vintage condition. A Fine Pair of Antique Carved Black Forest Nut Crackers c1890/1900
This antique carved black forest nut cracker I think dates from around 1890/1900. The nut cracker is finely carved and in the form of a full body bearded man with a hat and has fantastic detail to the carving as seen in the photos, there is repairs to the bottom of the beard as seen but otherwise in good condition, there is a hole in one side where the pin is inserted but not on the other so the pin is internal, the nut crackers measure 7.5 inches high
