A wonderful large hand carved wooden horse head bust. Carved from one piece of wood and attached to the base. Finish is the original paint and is a mustard ... morecolor with some orange here and there and black eyes. On the left side of the head area you will see a very slight separation which is just part of the aging process. It may have even been there when it was carved. Just wanted to point this out so you know. This piece is in excellent antique condition and is a rarity. It would be a wonderful focal point in any room. The horse head bust stands 18 1/2 inches tall by 12 inches deep by 8 1/4 inches wide and weighs 8.4 lbs, a nice heavy weight. Vintage Dala horse figure and pin These are a great set. One to wear and one to display. The figure measures 4 inches tall. And about 3 3/4 inches head to tail. The pin measures 3/4 of an inch long. And 7/8 of an inch tall. They are both in good condition with no missing paint or chips. The pin on the little one is tilted upwards a bit but still functions as it should. T his is a charming. Vintage. Hand-carved and painted horse figur ine that has been in my family for some years. It has a definite fol k-art feel to it. And it is in excellent condition with no chips, splits, cracks or repairs that I can see. It measures approximately 5-1/2" long by 5-7/8" tall. And because the wood is very light weight I am as suming it is carved from pine. But I cannot be certain of that f act. It appears somewhat lighter in the photos than it is in real life- in person it is more of a medium brown tone and the red and green colors are more mu ted than they appear in the pictures. A wonderful large hand carved wooden horse head bust. Carved from one piece of wood and attached to the base. Finish is the original paint and is a mustard color with some orange here and there and black eyes. On the left side of the head area you will see a very slight separation which is just part of the aging process. It may have even been there when it was carved. Listed here is a vintage old wooden and metal horse statue. The horse head is made of metal. The body is carved wood and the legs and tail are also metal. The metal base is screwed onto the wood bottom. It stands 12 inches tall and is about 12 inches from nose to tail. It weighs just under 1 1/2 pounds. Very nice folk art wooden horse with wheels
What a great folk art piece! Hand carved and painted. This horse is on a platform with wheels. The wheels go through the platform on long rods, so they move a bit but don't interfere with the movement of the horse. This has been well taken care of and there are no breaks to the horse or platform, other than some pain imperfections. I do not know the age or the item or if the paint is original. Horse measures 9" long by 9.25" tall.

Hand carved Folk Art wood wooden horse head shoe statue figurine sculpture
This is for a beautiful hand carved Folk Art Horse Head surrounded by a Horseshoe. There is an original old hanger that you can attach to the wall or it displays nicely on a desk/table. There is a brass inscription on the front lip that reads; CLOUD. BY LEONARD CASS. This carving was found in rural West Central Wisconsin. When I googled the closest town and this name, his birth date was 1888. He passed around 1970. So, my guess is that this was carved 1910-1950's. The hanger indicates some age as well as the fact that there are dowels and not nails holding it together. Interesting, on the back, it is marked; Doc Lar had this" The dimensions are about 9 x 9 inches. It is solid and weighs about 2 pounds 11 ounces. This item was listed last week but several wrote to see a close up of the burn damage and we have re-listed. It stands about 8-14" tall. Any early dalas made as candle holders shows the hole was made before the horse was painted. This one was made into a candle-holder after the dala was painted. The candle in it. At the time of purchase, had so much age that it literally fell apart so we will leave it to the new owner to replace. This is from the mid 1900 and except for a chip and burn marks/crazing. It is very sturdy. These are great to use as centerpieces or just add to your current dala collection For those who asked, the burn marks and crazing are shown in the last 2 pictures. Hand carved Folk Art horse. Still has great colors Has a few issues! The legs were nailed on to the body. And the right rear leg wiggles a bit and has a chunk of wood at the top of the leg that looks a bit loose. The tail is removable, and the piece was designed this way; it is not a defect. The tail does appear to have been chipped a bit on the end as pictured. I am selling this unique antique as-is. Please study pictures for any other details not specifically mentioned. I feel I have disclosed anything important. He is Huge at about 32 inches tall and 27 inches long without removable tail and about 35 inches with the tail put in. And about 8 inches wide. GREAT WESTERN FOLK ART CARVED WOODEN HORSE by WILLIAM G. TAYLOR WGT Here is a rare and hard to find hand carved wooden horse made and signed by William G. Taylor who died in 1975 at the age of 93. He lived in Upper Black Eddy. Pennsylvania and is believed to have carved 1200 horses. I believe the wood may be walnut. He was also known to use basswood. Taylor used a return address label and a branded WGT on the tapered. Sloping base that rises to the front legs of the horse. Taylor glued on his heads and some bodies were carved in 3 pieces. Horse measures 9” tall Base measures 7” long 2 painted black eyes Very nicely carved with lots of detail Very good condition ~ the left ear has a part chipped off.
