Antique carved wood American Art Architectural Salvage Figure, Man, Furniture
A nice piece of architectural salvage carved out of wood ~ figure of a man. A duke, a musketeer? It probably came off of a mantel or large piece of furniture. He is old and somewhat fragile. There has been some repair work on his neck where he has cracked up the sides. There is a small brad in his neck and on the top where a piece was loose. The base has some cracks in it and a few loose pieces which may need gluing. There is a hole in the back of his head where he was mounted at one time. He is still an amazing piece of history and you will love him! Check out photos for further idea on condition and detail. A wonderful old piece hand carved out of what I think is Dutch Oak? It probably came off of a mantel or piece of furniture and is a great architectural piece! He has normal wear from age. But nothing major. There is a chip in the wood along the brim of his hat and a crack in the wood along the right side of his coat. The trim pieces along the base are a bit loose in areas. Antique Carved Walnut Wood Panel Architectural Salvage Organ Piano Music Holder
As the title indicates. This is a heavy, neat old organ or piano top with its original music book holder. It's ready for a"new life" or a piano/organ searching for a panel. Please review all the photos. As above mentioned, this has several mends, some of which could have been done with a little more skill so the new owner may want to sand to refine the finished look or soften the glue and then re-glue. The round sculpted/scalloped music holder has a tray just below it which has a mend on each side, the forefront of the piece also has two mends(this is a piece which is set/attached to the main body of the piece) and can be removed as it is attached with tiny nails which look as if they will be easily removed. 17th/18th CENTURY CARVED WOOD ARCHITECTURAL PANEL w GOLD LEAF& PAINT DECORATION This small panel measures 6 1/4 by 7 1/2 by 1 3/4 inches and is carved out of one piece of wood. Beautiful deep carving with original gold leaf and paint decoration. The carving may be a Coat of Arms. It shows small holes from a wood boring beetle but they are long gone and there is no active insect remaining. I think this piece is French judging by the type of carving and was probably incorporated originally in some larger architectural feature. CONDITION: Fair to good. There are small pin holes all over from insects but there is no sign they are still active. One corner has some damage. The piece is solid though with no sign of further damage.

This fantastic early 1800s hand carved fragment appears to have been the arm for a monumental Great Hall bench and is hand carved from European walnut. It measures a considerable 28 ½” tall x 23” deep x 4 ½” wide and boasts a large winged dragon arm topped by a funny stylized owl? Gargoyle. The surface is old and grungy and the back side has obvious old(inactive) worm damage with loss and open tenon cuts. ½ of the dragon’s face(one side) is gone.
