Vintage German Black Forest Hand Carved Beer Barrel Wagon 4 Horses Haufbrau
This listing is for a wonderful Haufbrau Beer Barrel Horse Drawn Wagon with 4-Horses! This is a Large Wooden Carving measuring about 25" Long and 9" tall at its tallest points. The Horses are carved with detail and the driver has a whip. And Cigar! He Swivels up there on his seat. There are 11 Barrels! His side brake is there too! There are a couple of spots where the chains should be repaired! It shows in the photos where 1-beer barrel needs to be reattached. Near the 2-rear horses. The harness Chains need to be re-attached. For the most part The chains are still there. One of the rear wooden pieces to attach the chains is missing. I will let the buyer make these minor repairs. It is also a bit dusty. Overall these small defects will not affect this Carvings' beauty and desirability Good used condition as shown in Photos!

It measures approx. 14 1/4" x 6 1/4" high. We found the following history of ANRI on the anri-woodcarvings site on the internet. GREAT SITE! It all began in the late 19th century when Alois Riffeser traveled to the major European cities to sell the wood carved figurines and toys which were bought from the farmers of the Gröden Valley located in the Dolomite region of the Alps. This area in South Tyrol was part of Austria-Hungary at the time until being annexed to Italy in 1919. In 1912 Josef Anton Riffeser founded the ANRI Company. Which he named using the first two letters of his first and last name. After World War I, where he was in a prisoner of war camp in Siberia, he formulated his plan for a woodcarving company. He created his own models which he distributed successfully, mainly in the Alpine region. Josef’s wife. Carolina Riffeser ran the company during the difficult years of war and the absence of her husband. She was especially influential as her social positions were well accepted and

Up in this auction is a wonderful carving of a man on an old fashioned beer barrel cart or wagon being pulled by a horse and a donkey. All mounted on a stand. It measures approx. 17 1/2" x 6 1/4" high. Believed to be an ANRI Carving. But no markings. The item was owned by a german couple and was purchased at an estate sale. They said it was purchased in Germany and brought to America by them. We do our best to describe items as accurately as possible. However. Made in Germany 24 Inches Long Hand Carved Hofbrau Beer 4 Horse Drawn Wagon Team
Hand carved from Germany. 4 horse beer wagon cart. The barrels are marked HB which stands for Hof Brau beer. The wagon to the end of the horses measures 24 inches long and the base is 24 3/4 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide and 3/4 inches thick. The driver is 4 inches tall. The horses are approximately 6 1/4 inches long and 5 3/4 inches tall. The strings were broken and tied together so may need to be restrung and one of the horses legs was broken but repaired(see picture 11) but does not look bad at all. I think the man was possibly holding something at one time but is now a green post. It is also missing one of the wood ties that holds the chain, closest to the driver(see picture 4) but a small piece. Very unique and could be a one of a kind. Comes from a smoke free home. Vintage German Anri ? Hand Carved Carved Horse Drawn Water Beer Wagon 1935
Up for your consideration is a vintage. Marked 1935 on the bottom, hand wood carved oxen horse drawn wagon hauling a large water barrel on a wood platform. The driver is sitting on top of the water wagon barrel and there is a woman walking behind. The horses or oxen are attached to the base wagon and one of the horses has his hoof up which gives action to this carving. There are chains that connect the horse harness to the wood trailer piece of the wagon. The driver is holding a thin type of rope that goes to each horse. The detail is all correct including the bolsters that attach the horses to the wagon. There are also leather straps around the horses. Everything appears to be original to this piece except for the little pieces of wood(walking sticks) in the hand of the driver and the woman. Those were added later on. Most of these pieces ... moreof this vintage and circa are always missing the whip and walking stick. On the bottom there is green felt and also an address label which has been taped to the bottom. It lists. Most likely, one of the owners and then handwritten, the name John Hicks, 11.26.87, Germany 1935 whom I'm assuming was the original owner. I've only seen one other carving like this one and they said it was an ANRI, but I am unsure as the makers mark is not inscribed into the wood. This did come from an Estate Sale so I could not find out any further information. Measures 13-1/2" long by 3-3/4" wide. This is a vintage piece so please expect scratches in the wood. The base is very dry appearing and there is dust present. This is an incredible rare hand carved item. Most of the similar wood carvings will have barrels of beer on them. This one is a Water Wagon. Vintage Black Forest Hand Carved Wood Folk Art Beer Wagon horse sitting man
Selling a vintage Beer or Water horse drawn wagon. It is hand carved. The driver is holding reigns to the horses or ox(cow? German piece. 50 years + old according to the original seller. It is a nice folk art souvenir piece. The pictures will show the following: Crazing and splitting of the original lacquer coat on base and animals. It does need some cleaning as well. As has been stored in a barn. I will leave this up to you to perhaps restore. The horse has some abrasion to the ears. The backs of the animals definitely show some wear/loss of lacquer. Large German Carved Wood Beer Wagon with 4 Horses and Driver, 27 inches long!
Neat large wood carving of four horses pulling a wagon and driver. Loaded with beer barrels. The 13 beer barrels are marked'HB' presumably for Haufbrau beer(my guess) It is well carved and in good condition overall, with the only flaws shown in the photos. The driver is missing whatever he was holding in one hand(there is a hole where a stick or switch went through) easily replaced. One of the front horses has come loose(slightly) on one hoof, and a small piece of the hoof(wood) has come off- this piece will be included with the piece for the buyer to easily re-glue back on. Some of the chains have come loose on the hayne(draw wood) near the wagon on one side, there are some loose chains to reattach but I am not sure if all of the chain is there or not. The carving is dusty from being in climate controlled storage for 30+ years. This ... moreis a large impressive carving. About 27 inches length by 9 inches tall, and 4 3/8 inches wide. I'm not sure how old this piece is. But I would guess late 1940's or early 1950's. I have had other smaller carved wood wagons over the years, they were all from Germany so I assume that is where this piece was made. I have included lots of photos, so please zoom in on them so you know what you are bidding on. Please ask any questions you may have before auction end. Given the fragile nature of shipping this item. The sale is as-is, with NO RETURN on this item. I will pack this carefully, but given the construction materials I would recommend that insurance be added to the shipment. TWO VINTAGE GERMANY WOOD FOLK ART BEER WAGON LOT HOFBRAU LARGE

They are vintage 60's-70's folk art German wagons. One is a Hofbrau and I'm not sure what the other one is. Someone said it was a sewage wagon? They are BIG. The Hofbrau one is about 28" long x about 5 1/2" wide and is about 10" tall with the sign in(it can be removed) The other one is about 26 3/4" long x about 5 3/4" wide and about 7" tall. The first one has only 3 issues. One of the little wooden hubs on the front wheel is gone and the part of the drivers hand that holds the reins is broken.so I have them tucked under the whip handle in the other hand. The other issue is that there are a lot of Hofbrau markings on the piece and they are ... moreall faded. The other piece is missing the little yoke pieces that hold the chains on the back set of animals. Two of the animals are loose and need to be secured and the lady in the back looks like she was holding a stick or something and it is broken off. They were pretty dusty when I got them and I wiped them gently with a damp cloth but I really haven't done anything else. The issues with these are all things that can be repaired or restored by someone who knows what they are doing. They look really good just like they are, but if I were to keep them, I would restore them.
