Folk Art Hand Carved 11 Giant Wooden Chess Pieces To Repurpose
These 11 giant wooden chess pieces are part of a set and all that remain. The largest pieces. The castles, are about 5" tall and the 3 smallest fellows are about 3-3/4" tall. They are painted with black shading to give the impression of age and obviously hand done as there are lots of little differences in the details. There is some minor wear. Small areas where the color has chipped off and one of the castles has a chip in the wood. Since they are made to look worn, however, these minor flaws don't appear detrimental in my opinion.
