And there is about a million of inches of snow on the ground, in order to take a few pictures of this huge carrier, I took it outside because nothing beats sunlight for showing colors accurately. In other words, I did it for you. This carrier is right out of someone’s smokehouse. And it comes complete with cobwebs, estate dirt, and everything else associated with old, undisturbed, primitive things. It is big! The box part is 25 ½” by 10 ¾” at the top edge. It is 4 ½” deep. The total height to the top of the handle is 6 ½” So we’re talking about a large tote. Weight = 5 ½ lbs. I managed to get two or three pictures before almost freezing to death. And I know who’s to blame. It’s the person who invented the chill factor. I knew it was 3° outside, but my smart phone said it“felt like” 10° below zero. We didn’t have all this“wind-chill factor” horse pucky back when I was a pup. We looked at the thermometer, and if it said it was 3°, we knew to bundle up. Beautiful Antique Hand-Carved This is an absoultly beautiful hand-carved primative wooden folk are nude. This is figure is one solid piece. Her left arm and hand has been carved away from the rib cage and hips with little space inbetween. Really amazing to see. There is a wonderful sheen patina on the legs. Breast, and hair of the doll. This figurine measures almost 7 1/2" tall. The amount of detail is quite specktacular! One are is folded behind her back. You can see definition of fingers and facial features. The wood is a soft wood. But you can not scratch you fingernail in it. The only downfall of this figurine. Is she is missing one foot. A small fraction of the front right foot is missing. The only undefined part of the body is the feet. The left foot almost looks like it is wearing a shoe with a point at the top. I am completely ... morein awe of this figure. While she is primitive. There is a lot of detail where someone has probably"whittled" in their spare time. I have spent a lot of time looking at her and each time I see some new detail. this is an exquisite rare antique hand carved wooden bear. it is pretty large and has a wonderful 3 dimensional design. it is well cut and made from one solid piece of wood. it has beautiful aging to this carving. over the last hundred years it has some cracking and a great patina which adds to the character of the piece. he sits on a base. it measures 13 x 7 3/4 inches. I am offering A PAIR OF ANTIQUE HAND-CARVED WOODEN FIGURINES- A BOY AND GIRL ON OXEN. They are not marked as to the carver or their country of origin. The facial features are more European than Asian. The carving is quite detailed. Conditon: Good- but not perfect. On the girl carving- some chips and a repair to the end of the oxen horns. A chip near the mouth of the oxen. On the boy carving- a chip to the end of his foot. Also. He is missing his wood base. Measurements: Boy: 4 1/2" tall X 5" long X 2 1/2" wide. Antique Hanging Hand Carved Painted Wooden Cherub Figure Italy? 19" Tall
Vintage hand carved wood cherub figure. Possibly from Italy. Most likely used in a church. It measures 19" tall and the wings are 16" wide. It has a hook on the back for hanging. One tip of the wing on the right has a chip on the top that is barely noticeable. There are a few other small chips and rubs in the paint at some of the tips and raised areas. No real damage or loss of excessive paint. Thanks for looking.

Antique Handcarved Wood Wooden Shore Bird 10" Long x 4" High - Very Nice
Presented for auction is an antique handcarved wood wooden shore bird on a small base. I do not know what kind of wood this is made from. But it is dark with sort of a reddish cast. It has a nice patina. The bird's length is 10" from tip of beak to tip of tail and it stands 4" high. It weighs 6.2 ozs. I cannot tell if the eyes are made of glass or another material. The eye colors are red and black. This is a handsome piece indeed! I have personally owned it for approximately 25 years. I purchased it in an antique mall in Nashville, TN. Happy Bidding! This Boston Bull Terrier Puppy Dog Doorstop was made in the 1920's in a folk art style and was a pretty popular guy back in the day. He is rare, but not too too rare, a few each year will show up, but usually they have been repainted or are no longer able to function in their role as doordog.
