We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of carved wooden horses. The horses are Chinese. Indian, or Eastern in origin. The pair have nicely carved details with ornate brass trim. The saddles, bridles, ears and tails are brass. There is also a decorative brass chest piece. This is a very nice pair. They are in good condition with only minor evidence of age. This is an antique folk art hand carved relief nude lady in the waves plaque wall hanging. Very nice details, the piece is 18" by 11" aged patina and some wear to the outer wood, tiny nail holes, may have been mounted to something, I purchased this years ago at an estate sale, the man having the sale was in his eighties, he said it had belonged to his father, his mom threw it out and his dad found it and hid it away for many years. Offered is a Set of Two Vintage Hand Carved Wooden Folk Art Musicians. Each player measures approx. 16” tall. And the base is approx. 4 5/8” in diameter. Both are in good vintage condition with no cracks or broken components. The left ear on each player is very small. Especially the trumpet player. It appeared at first that the ears were broken off, but close examination shows that they are stained with the same finish as the rest of the bodies. The reason for the small ears is unknown. Maybe it’s a hidden message or trademark signature by the artist? The top clear coat glaze is very shiny in some areas and nearly matte in others. There are craftsman’s tool marks visible on each figure. Consistent with that of true hand crafted and hand finished wares. There is some fading to the gold accents on the cello. Very unusual hand carved prison folk art totem. It is a screaming man with a scull carved above his head( death weighs heavy on his conscience) It is signed on the bottom but i cant make out what the initials are or mean(see last photo) it has age patina to the paint. It is handmade and old, therefore not perfect. There seem to be no cracks or breaks. The teeth are uneven on the scull but were originally made this way.It measures 9 1/4 inches long.

Antique Vintage Gothic Revival Figural Wood Carving Folk Art Wall Candle Stand
This auction features a super rare early 20th century English folk art carving of three gothic monks in hooded cloaks and carrying holy scripture. The hand carved wooden piece is made to be a candle holder. Each of the three monks with a setting before them to hold a candle. The original(or at least very, very old) used candles are still present and I have decided not to remove them, leaving them as they melted. It can stand on a table top but can also be hung on the wall, the larger monk in the center having a notch in the back for hanging on a hook or nail. Each of the three monks were individually made and have been attached to the base platform by a single screw in each through the bottom. This is a great old lot of 3 different hat making molds. That's right you get all three. From the 1880s. Plus or minus a few years. Either way they are real, and they are real old. Around 135 years. One is 12 3/4" long x 10 1/2" wide x 2" tall. This is the one with the split and is lighter colored. In Colorado the air is dry. And(perfectly good) wood splits after years in our dry climate. BUT, the piece is very sturdy. With a push from both sides of the split, the gap doesn't budge. This wood is like iron. One is 13" long x 11 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" tall. The larger darker mold. This one is signed(PACO) on the rim. It is in great well used shape. Rough spots, smudges, hairlines, etc. everything that you would want to see in a real, old, piece. Vintage antique? Man woman naked nude 12.5" hand carved statue folk art decor??
I couldn't for the life of me figure out what or who this thing is. Could be vintage or antique but I don't know. It looks primitive. It has nubs in chest area and private area suggesting it could be a boy or girl. Very round all over. Very nice carving. Looks to have been painted to give it a rough stone like look. Appears to be made out of terra cotta like they use to make plant pots out of. It measures 12.5" tall, 5.5" across shoulders and has a 4" round base. Beautiful collectors piece. Beautiful. Hand carved figures of a man and woman(farmers with a sheep? are absolutely one of a kind! Both figures have a great deal of detail and must have taken quite a bit of time and skill to produce! The wood is quite lightweight and these are not perfect(see condition description above) but if you like unique, these are it! The male sculpture measures 7" H x 2 3/4 D(base) the female sculpture is 6" H x 2 1/4" base) There are no artist signatures I can see, only a handwritten mark on both pieces. Wonderful!
