It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. Up for auction is a one of a kind wood carving depicting a bizarre hybrid creature. The creature appears to consist of a dog with the wings of a bird and the tail of a lion( This wood carving was part of a fireplace in a house in New Orleans that was demolished and had to be reassembled as it was acquired in pieces. The base is a different type of wood from the creature because it was attached after the creature was reassembled. The base is approx. 10 1/2 inches x 4 inches. Antique Victorian Wood Towel Bar Old estate find. This is a nice antique piece. I believe it is a towel bar, and was told that it is Victorian. It has nice decorative cut out pieces on the side and on the serpentine backsplash is a carved head of a woman. Very nice. There are some items to be aware of- the bottom dowel is missing, it could be replaced or left as is. The little finials are missing from the right side. there are two on the left so one could be moved to provide a match on each side and then find two others for the bottom spots. Also the floral carved wood board that goes across the back is missing a narrow piece of wood about halfway across. Still a great display piece and a nice antique collectible. Antique pair of carved oak jesters/ troubador musicians. Made in France/ Italy. Late 19th century. Approx 14 1/4 inches tall(37cm) Absolutely charming: One figure plays a mandolin; the other a flute. Each figure stands on a very simple. Rectangular oak wood block. Wearing standard uniform of a jester or harlequin, complete with bells and buttons and lots of pleats. Collars like sunflowers. Wonderfully detailed caricature faces. The mandolin player with a huge open mouthed smile, stares into the distance; the flautist with exquisite gentle expression on his smiling face and soft eyes. For your consideration is this antique Victorian era architectural interior design element/support. The wood carving was most likely part of a larger piece of furniture or perhaps a fireplace mantel. The hand carved image is that of cherub or perhaps small child placed atop a tobacco leave shaped bracket adorn with a lovely carved floral rose. Antique Victorian German style black forest wood or Walnut wall magazine plaque holder. Front panel moves out on a brass hinge/chain to roughly about 4" to 5" outward. Showed you some picture of these hardware parts. There seems to be some paint drippings on the inside of the wood pouch. Really not much of a concern concidering you cant see it while hanging and it can be removed. Overall nice condition as you can see, small amounts of wear and throughout the piece but normal for the years. When taking the photos the flash from my camera gives it a lighter look on some of the pictures, but there are tones in the wood. The center carving in the middle of the piece is done wonderfuly and its ready to hang in your lovely home. Wonderful wood carvings of stylized leaves and branches design. Germany style with a hinged base with two delicate ... moreworn brass chains on either side. One chain seems longer/tighter and a little uneven but hangs nice and looks good when hanging. It measures 22" 1/4 X 15" 1/4. We do show stress hairline crack in the middle but not all the way down and its well intact and strong and really not concerning. Isn't this one fabulous! Nice larger size at 19.5" tall and 13.5" wide, also carved from heavy, solid European oak and the condition leaves little to be desired! An oak face with enamel ... moreplaques marking the various stations of the barometer. The entire face is hinged and opens upward to the wooden box backing. The barometer is actually fixed to the face so only adjustments would be made from the rear. The long brass hand has been at nearly the same position since we photographed it so I'm not sure if the barometer is in working order but the needle does move.
