There is a metallic like string around her waist. She is missing the bottom of left arm and missing her green shoe on right side. The left bottom leg is unattached but complete. The exquisite head and body is hand carved and painted but shows cracks and paint loss throughout. The dress appears original to the doll but I have not tried to take it off because I do not want to do any further damage. The second doll seems to be a match to other doll but a smaller/younger version. This is a stunning antique 19th century hand carved wood stylized bull dog walking stick/cane. it is carved with an abundance of very intricate derailing and set on a natural. Very sturdy, thorn-wood shaft which has a wonderful patina from age and natural look. The handle is completely hand carved and is a stylized depiction of a bulldog. it has is a cartoonish depiction and he has one large eye and one squinting small eye. he is also sticking out his tongue which is painted red along with his beautifully carved nose. his ears stick back and his eyes are set with black glass. the larger eye is in the shape of a cut black diamond. right underneath the handle is a dimensional bronze flower which is detailed and has a nice patina from age. the bottom of the cane is finished with a solid bronze tip. the cane measures 34 1/2 inches long by 2 1/4 ... moreinch wide. it is in nice antique shape. This is a really fine pair of hand carved wooden angel cherub figures. They are in excellent condition save for a small chip at the base of one and an even smaller chip on a wing. These can be easily painted with gold leaf but I leave that to the buyer as some want things as found. I recently purchased these in New York from a man that handles high end estates. These have significant age as I believe the nails are early rose head. Square nails. I date them to the 1800's but they could possibly be from the 1700's. Hand Painted Wood Horse with Jockey, Found this while cleaning my great grandmothers attic, don't know ANYTHING about this piece, but i think its amazing! looks like its from the 1800's. shows signs of wear from age, both on horse and boy jockey. I also found the bottom carrage in the same box, not sure if it even goes with this piece, but it seems like it might, so i included it in the auction. A beautiful example of a 17th or 18 century Spanish colonial hand carved Saint of Santos figure of Saint Roche measuring 13" tall with base. The condition is amazing considering it could be over 300 years old. The feet and one arm are missing. But this does not distract at all from the overall beauty and character of this wonderful hand carved Santos figure. When I purchased this Santos figure from an art dealer it already had the newer attached base and an older card attached to the back of the figure. The base also has a label describing that the piece was examined by an expert at Sotheby's who dated the figure from the 17th/18th century. This sale is for a great looking Great Dame Dog that is hand carved. The Dog was carved in the 1800's and is of European origin. The Dog is very impressive looking and has a handsome face. The Dog is about 10-1/4" tall and the carving measures about 13-1/4" in length. The Dog seems to be standing against a tree and is standing on wood carved greenery. The Dog has a carved chain collar and his tail is resting against a tree like structure. Please review all my photos for they are part of my description. Antique Hand Carved Corner Shelf Late 1800's Stag Head
Exquisite hand carved stag head walnut corner shelf. Bought from an estate in Chesterfield. Mo. their great grandfather hand carved the shelf at their homestead in Augusta, Mo. in late 1800's. The shelf is 161/2 inches high by 16 inches wide, it appears to be carved of walnut, but I'm not an expert) it has great detail, beautifully carved by a master woodworker. It is in excellent condition for it's age, minor wear from handling over the years, no problems that distract from it's beauty. Some square nails are visible in close examination that helps verify its age. I could find no evidence of any repairs or significant damage. A wonderful piece that would be a great accent for any home.

antique 1800's hand carved wood folk art canvasback drake duck decoy sculpture
This is a stunning antique late 19th century hand carved wood usable canvasback drake duck decoy sculpture. it was a decoy that was used and once had a lead weight mounted to the bottom. it is a rare piece that would have been pulled by the neck and still has some lacquered wired still wrapped around his. it has its original paint job and is a nice design. he has a flat bottom with beautifully inlaid yellow and black glass eyes. the decoy is a life-size and measures 13 3/4 inches long by 6 1/2 inches tall by 5 inches wide. it is in nice antique condition. Has some ware to the paint as shown in the photos and has an old repair to the tip of the beak. ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL HAND CARVED WOODEN HEAD OF MAN/EXPLORER 1800's)
I am offering a very unique hand carved wooden bust of a man. Looks like Christopher Columbus, hat, mustache and curls. This piece measures 7 1/2" high and 2 7/8" deep. The color is a dark wood. There is a dowel hole on the bottom, it must have been on top of a column on a piece of furniture, my guess. There are two cracks on the outer side at the top, you can see this in photo. This is a solid piece, no chips, intact. I worked in antiques and refinished antique furniture for many years, especially EUROPEAN, so I know that the age of this would be the 1800's. This is a magnificent architectural piece.
