Large Tsuka Rayskin Natural Bleached White 10 inches
Hi. On offer is a Large Piece of Exotic Stingray Hide which is also known as Shagreen. The hide has only been cleaned. Bleached and dried and had not been tanned. It is exactly as was used on Samurai Swords and is the ideal material for restoring or reproducing implements of this period. Each piece measures a minimum of 10 inches wide and vary between 18 to 20 inches long. The dimensions being taken through the centre of the hide. This hide type is what is known as a round hide. Stingray Hide or Shagreen has been used for many purposes over the centuries including the decoration of boxes. Scientific instruments and also Furniture. Nowadays it is also being used for making trendy jewellery and accesories. These types of fixtures were popular. I show a similar version from a period catalog, and by Virden(second image) The fixture listed here has no markings so I don’t know who made it. The fixture is ideal for any post-WWII home. Either traditionally-styled or full-blown modern. Wholly restored. This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: The fixture accepts four standard base 60W bulbs. The brass has been polished. It has not been lacquered. COLOR: The shade is white with some pale gray accents. Brass. SIZE: See above. I have a very attractive Buffalo Lithia Springs Half Gallon Bottle that stands 10 1/4 inches tall with a 4 1/2 inch base. This bottle is in wonderful shape and a great color as seen in the photo's. It has a small chip on the outer lip as seen in the photo. It also has a number or word on the lip that can be seen in the photo, but I can not make it out. What remains of the cork stopper is in the bottom of the bottle. This has the bubbles in the glass that you expect to see. This will stand out in your collection. Thanks For Looking. Vintage Shastock Mute With The Violin Maple Resonator For Trumbone? 10 Inches
This is a Shastock Mute with the violin maple resonator. It is 10" tall and has a 4" diameter. Structually. It is a"sound" piece. Very solid, intact, no cracks, breaks, etc. It does need a good cleaning. The brass collar would probably shine very nice. The cork is obviously well used but all pieces are there. Please review pictures. It was used by a family member in the 1940s.
