Exquisitely painted. Varnished, and signed by the artist in 1955. Large Tole serving tray with a floral pattern/motif signed by C. Shannon. In excellent condition, especially considering its age. I have seen many of these trays, and this one absolutely stands out due to the detail and color used by the artist. The little blue flowers are my personal favorites. It is truly unusual. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! From a cousin’s estate we have a large black metal tray. Hand painted toleware– most likely from the 1950’s. The front has beautiful roses in yellow. Orange, pink and light pink with gold trim around the edge. It is octagonal oblong shaped with a fancy lattice work around the edge and handles. The back has a tag that says Fine Arts Studio Hand-Painted Phila 47 PA. I'm not sure when that dates it. But I think that is the 50’s. That's when this type of stuff was more popular. Some of the paint has flaked off on the flowers in the middle. It still a pretty nice piece of nostalgia! Great for your collection! From a cousin’s estate we have a gorgeous hand-painted fruit tray metal toleware. It is signed by someone with the letter A– I cannot read the rest of it. It is oblong octagonal shaped tray with grapes. An apple, a peach, cherries and a pear on the front. It has a latticework design around the edges. Vivid colors. It is in really good shape on the painting. There is some wear to the gold trim on the edge. The back has a silver tag that says: Nashco Products New York Hand painted- Chip and alcohol resistant. There is a string on the back for hanging on the wall if you so choose. There are a couple blemishes on the back. Won’t be seen for the most part. Still a beauty! Vintage signed Mary Ryan toleware painted small oval metal basket; floral motif
This is a once- treasured vintage. Signed"Mary Ryan" small oval metal tole painted basket with two flowers- yellow/gold and pink/rose- and leaves in the front. The colors change in tone with the light. The first picture is most true to color, although it is a bit faded by bright light. The basket is 7-inches long by 4 3/4-inches high, by 4 1/4-inches deep in the middle. It has gold gilt trim on the top and bottom edges, and a gold stamp on the bottom. The stamp is worn, but"Mary Ryan" can be read. The four rounded protruding"feet" on the bottom have wear to the paint. There is a 2 3/4-inch long scratch line on the lower back, some small areas of black paint penetration,some loss of color on the gold gilt trim, especially on the bottom rim, some wear on the bottom inside and a 1/2-inch long scratch along the edge ... moreof one petal on the rose. To me, the basket has charm. Please look at the photos to judge for yourself its condition.

Vintage metal tole painted clip- on lamp shade with a wonderful punched top. The color is a colonial gray with blue designs. Stands 5" tall x 7" across the bottom x 3" across the top. It has a clip on the inside of the shade. To attach it to the bulb. It does have a few hair-line scratches but still a great looking shade. No dents or bends. The lamp works great. The leaves and stems are made of a metal and the whi te roses are a ceramic material. T he base looks like some kind of hard press board with paint. S o me of the pai nt has chipped on the edge of the bottom. I don't k now if all of the roses are there. There might be a couple missing. I see some stems without flowers on the ends. The r oses were applied to the stems and many are loose but they don't come off. There are 3 patches of flowers on the base of the lamp and one has a broken peddle.
