Antique Black Forest Style Wood Barometer Thermometer Hygrometer German Carved
Unusual antique carved wood German barometer/thermometer/hygrometer. The piece has"B. Straub" carved on the front and lettering is all in German. I've not seen one that has the hygrometer included. Rather unique. The glass covering the hygrometer needs to be cleaned however. The thermometer section is porcelain with no chips or cracks. The barometer section is also in nice condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. The carving well done in a Black Forest German style.The back side has tin covering the thermometer and barometer sections. It measures 16 1/4" by 6 3/4" approximately. It appears to be in working order. No international sales, payment through Paypal please.

The first known East Asians that immigrated were from the Philippines from the 16th to the early 19th centuries. This statue is probably from the 18th century. This is a large hand carved dark mahogany wood cat. This beautiful feline is not damaged in any way. It has a great dark shiny finish. It is 15" tall. 9" long, and 4 1/2" front to back. Antique Black Forest Style Hand Carved Wood Wall Shelf
I must thin my collection of carved wall shelves because I moved into a small place. I collected them from Estate sales. Ebay, Antique auctions. I cannot give the exact history of this item. It was likely carved in Switzerland where these are known to originate. Dimensions are shelf: 6 1/2" x 10" height is 11 inches. Other than the broken fragment shown in the picture, it is in very good condition. You will see the piece and where it goes. Old Antique Intricately Carved Wood Skeleton Clock Case Artist Signed Cherubs
From estate. Most unusual. Tall at about 10 1/2 inches to highest point. About 9 inches wide at widest points. Condition is hard to describe. The only really artistically noticeable condition issue is the cherub front left is missing a leg. There are occasional cracks and wear in what I call the veneer as photographed. The piece that is separately photographed came loose from front center top just above a hook. There are two holes back center presumably to allow handles to wind both time and chimes. The base bottom has a few small screws seemingly to attach the small feet. I do not know if they are original or not. The item is artist signed as photographed on bottom back rim. But I cannot make it out. I would think that the item is more likely European than American. I guess you would call it Victorian. You will receive one antique wood carved elephant that measures 8.5"x9" It has some flaws including. Several chips in the feet, it is missing its tusks, and it has one light spot above his ear and one on its belly. I am not sure what caused the spots or if they are removable.
