Oval Toleware Metal Tray 1940s Era- Vintage Black Ground with Burnished Gold Edging and Design Detail- Highlighted with Burnished Teal Berries. Great item to add to collection of vintage toleware/trays. 16.5" x 13.5" x.5" Age unknown. Appears to be of 1940s era. THE FINE PRINT: I make every effort to describe condition of item. This is a vintage piece and in condition to be expected for its age and usage. Paint flecked in numerous spots. Two separate dents along edge. Two punctures on rim. Piece has been varnished overall to preserve paint. Giving a somewhat shiny appearance. Ask questions beforehand as there are no returns. I am not a business. Antique Black and Gold Toleware Spice Box and 6 Tins w/ Brass Handle NEAT!
You are viewing an antique Toleware Spice Box tin with 6 canisters. It is from the early to mid 19th century. It measures approximately 9.5 inches long. 6.25 inches deep, and 3.25 inches tall. The canisters measure approximately 3 inches tall each. The outside of the tin has gold colored design done over a black finish, while the inside is copper in color. The hasp and hinges all work properly. The canisters had the name of the spice stenciled on the tops of them. The Nutmeg is still visible as well as most of the Mace. The remainder of the spices were Ginger, Cloves, Allspice, and Cinnamon. The rings for two of the lids are missing(as pictured) and there is some paint loss. Overall this great piece is in very good condition for its age and will make a fantastic addition to your collection. This is a beautiful wastebasket with the fleur de lis trademark symbol on the bottom. Says Made in Italy- Florence. 10.5" tall. 9.75" diameter at the top. 6.5" diameter at the bottom. Has a great patina to it. The color is a turquoise green; it's more on the green side than the blue side. I am unable to date it.I'm thinking it's from the 50s or 60s? but I am not sure. Definitely true vintage, though. Photo 5 shows a long crack and two shorter cracks. While the cracks are visible. The wastebasket is still completely intact and fully functional. There is a wonderful patina to this wastebasket I don't know if this is considered tole. But when I researched toleware, it says it is painted on metal. I actually cannot tell exactly what the material this is made out of. To me it almost feels like some kind of plastic, ... morebut I've been told by a contractor who looked at it that it is some kind of metal, but I am not absolutely sure. Vintage NASHCO Large Metal Hand Painted Teal Green with Gold Tole/Toleware Tray 20 1/4" Long x 15 1/4" Wide All Over(I'm calling it) Teal Green Color with Beatiful Hand Painted Gold Leaves and Vines. With a Hand Painted Gold Band where the Tray Bottom meets the Sides and Finished with Gold on the Top Outside Tray Rim/Edge. The Leaf Veins are Defined with Tinges of Black and Brown Tones. Cut Out Handles Vintage Condition- No Dents- Some scratches. Mostly around the top edge and on the underside from normal use and storage. Some oxidation spots. Minimal wear and scratches to the Graceful Leaf and Vine Design. There are some shiny spots on the tray surface that you really don't see unless you look across it into a light source. One worn spot on tray and a leaf in the lower right near the corner. Some wear to the gold painted ... moreedge. The Nashco label is attached. There is a spot on the underside where another label, probably the price sticker, was attached. This is a personal item that I received as a gift in 1963. A Victorian era tin"HANDKERCHIEFS" box. It has elaborateflowers and leaves decor in gold or brass color. I think is is a japanned surface(baked enamel) It measures 7-1/2 by 5-3/4 by 2-3/4 inches.I can see soldering on bottom edges where it is joined to a tin bottom. Top has some worn through or scratched off places and some fading at bottom. Sides also have some scratches. Overall it llooks good for an 1800's piece. VTG ANTIQUE TOLEWARE OVAL TRAY GREEK GODDESS W CORNUCOPIA RED BLACK GOLD NR This is a sturdy vintage/antique tray; 19" x 14 7/8" x 1 1/4" It weighs about 2 lbs. 15 oz. A magnet does stick to the surface. There is some paint wear. Light scratches in paint. There are 2 areas shown in photos of note: one is an area of repair near bottom of tray below goddess where some kind of metal filler or finish has been applied, see image 7. At top of tray there are some whitish marks in paint near tray edge, see image 8. Tray has good structural integrity, no dents or breaks. Great piece to use, display, restore, enjoy!
