Typical of this era Italian antique gold painted wood wall art gilt vines with rose blossoms and buds. The largest just hinting at mid summer red muted with the darker gold coating. This one has somewhat of a twist from the usual in that it is built on a carved wood base with the center lattice work panes, evoking the trellis supporting the rose vines. Here's a very old Florentine wood with a gesso design. Gold paint/gilt trinket box with a romantic picture on top. It's small, measuring 4" square and is a little over 1 1/2" tall. It has 2 crude metal hinges on the back. The gold paint isn't perfect, and is scratched up here and there due to age, especially on the corners, but it is still nice and the gold paint that is there shines very brightly and it displays very well. I guess you'd say it has a very nice, overall patina. You can see how old it is by the inside of the box. The wood is sturdy. This is a vintage. Gold gilt florentine magazine holder. Recently purchased at an estate sale, I am unsure of it's age. It is unmarked. In good, used and vintage condition, there are a few issues worth mentioning. Most importantly, there is a small dent and crack in the wood on one of the bottom edges. This can be seen in the second picture. In addition, it looks like there is another hairline crack on one of the feet. I can't tell if it is a manufacturing thing of a flaw. Finally, the entire piece has some paint loss and some small chips. The rack measures about 14 1/2" across, 17" tall and 7" deep. Still very pretty, it will make a useful addition to any room. This is a beautiful wastebasket with the fleur de lis trademark symbol on the bottom. Says Made in Italy- Florence. 10.5" tall. 9.75" diameter at the top. 6.5" diameter at the bottom. Has a great patina to it. The color is a turquoise green; it's more on the green side than the blue side. I am unable to date it.I'm thinking it's from the 50s or 60s? but I am not sure. Definitely true vintage, though. Photo 5 shows a long crack and two shorter cracks. While the cracks are visible. The wastebasket is still completely intact and fully functional. There is a wonderful patina to this wastebasket I don't know if this is considered tole. But when I researched toleware, it says it is painted on metal. I actually cannot tell exactly what the material this is made out of. For your consideration is this vintage 1950-60's Italian Florentine easel and landscape picture by Corot. The gold/gilt and cream easel is 10 1/4" tall and 5" wide. It has a gold medallion at the top. The picture measures 7 3/4" x 5 3/4" The easel has its original metal chain. Both the easel and the picture have the typical distressed finish. Often this is called Hollywood Regency style. The easel is stamped"Made in Italy" underneath the stand. The picture has its original triangular shape hook. This pair of vintage 60's( Italian wood wall sconces or display shelves have an elaborate carved front side and a side scroll design. There is some loss of gold/gilt on some edges. There is wear on the top shelf areas. There is no indent on the sconce/ shelf top. The sconces each measure 5 1/8" by 3 1/8" and are 7 1/8" tall. Together they weigh 1#3oz. One has a red paper label that says"made in Italy" That one has it original triangular hooks as well as an added silver metal one. The other sconce has double paper labels from Dayton's with the original price of $13.00. It has its two original triangular shape hooks.

Description This listing is for a vintage Italian Florentine salt shaker and pepper mill/grinder set. They are made of balsam wood and beautifully decorated with hand painted teal blue and gold gilt. There are orange/red and black accents. I believe the tops are made of brass. The pepper mill is marked Acciaio Garantito underneath. DIMENSIONS The salt shaker with its top stands 3 inches tall and is approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter at its widest point. Antique Vtg Tole Gold Gilt Metal Rose Pedestal Sawtooth Edge Crystal Bowl Italy
GORGEOUS antique vintage elegant cut crystal bowl with saw tooth edge atop a tole gold gilt metal pedestal adorned with three full bloom roses and leaves. Measures 5 5/8" Tall x 6 1/4" Across the top x 3 1/2" Across the bottom metal ring. FRAME: bottom of metal frame has a large leaf design inside a round ring with a stand in the center. The sepals of the rose are turned downward while the rose flower is upright. The leaves and roses are soldered on to the frame. All elegantly covered in gold leaf gilt in a distress pattern. The roses and the leaves cannot be moved. There is a spacer between the frame and the crystal glass bowl. BOWL: crystal bowl has a large starburst pattern on bottom. Saw tooth edge design is on the outer of rim, the inner part of top is smooth, really unique design. The side panels are beautifully done ... morein a round cut pattern with large X designs between the round pattern. Little metal hangtag on the stem of one of the roses reads: ITALY.
