Toleware Metal Tray 1940s Era- Vintage Cream Ground with Faded Floral Design. Great item to add to collection of vintage toleware/trays. 20" x 15" x 1.75" Age unknown. Appears to be of 1940s era. THE FINE PRINT: I make every effort to describe condition of item. This is a vintage piece and in condition to be expected for its age and usage. Paint worn in numerous spots along sides. Rim and back. No dents and is in great condition considering age and usage. Rusted scratches throughout piece. Piece has been varnished overall to preserve paint. Giving a somewhat shiny appearance. Vintage metal tole tray. Hand painted toleware. Black tray with a floral pattern and goldtone trim. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! No rust. Back side of tray has scratches. Pretty tray with keyhole handles. All of my items come from a very non smoking home. It has a nice Chippendale shape and beautiful hand-painted roses and other flowers in the center. Unfortunately. Someone punched holes in it, probably to hang? just below the rim top and bottom. This makes the tray a bit more on the shabby side of cottage chic. But it's still a beautiful piece that I wouldn't part with if I still had room for it! There is some light surface wear such as scratches and some rubs to the paint on this piece. There are no manufacturer's markings on the lamp. But it is solid and weighty. It stands 29" to the point the finial screws on. There is a filter between just inside the top of the shade and just above the light bulbs. The light turns off and on with a switch on the cord. It is in near-perfect shape. XL Vintage Reticulated Hand Painted Floral & Black tole tray- PRICE REDUCED!
There is no date on this tray however I would guess it would be somewhere from the mid 1940's to the 1960's. The tray is fairly heavy(almost 4 pounds) for its size(which is 24"x17.5"x1.25" and it was done by an expert painter. You can see the brushstrokes and the paint is applied liberally.There is a little wear as you would expect in a piece of this age. And I've tried to show it in the photos. The worst thing, in my opinion, are small pops of paint in the area of the floral design on the front. One photo shows this. The spots are small and not glaring, but they are there and you can see them clearly in the photo I think. The black has wear and some places where there is heavy wear,especially on the back and the reticulated area. I think this tray was used as a table for most of its life before it came to me(where ... moreit hung on the wall and made quite a statement! and I say that because you can clearly see wear on the back where there were 4 legs in contact with the tray. I have shown the worst one in a close up but as you can see there is no rust in this area. As to rust, there are a few areas in corners, or seams, or the reticulated area where the finish is a bit"rough" and which may be rust either starting, or perhaps just the finish getting loose, but there is no flaking or actively loose areas. I am trying to describe this as well as I can because it's hard to really get great photos of a black tray without flash bounce so, while none of these areas bothered me in the least, I want you to know that they are there. Overall it is a lovely old tray and I think with a coat of wax, the more worn areas would become even less obvious. But, I want to leave that up to the new owner. This tray looks fabulous on the wall, but it is heavy enough to be used as a table, too, as it was in the past. I took lots of photos so you can see the whole tray and decide for yourself. I don't know much at all about these things. its yard sale season and I try to grab vintage items no matter what they are) I actually had to search eBay just to figure out what to call it and to see what section to put it in. The tray is roughly 7 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. I would give it a 94 to 95 out of 100% in condition. There are some small scratches that you have to hold the tray at an angle to see on the front. And a couple spots on bottom, but as you can see from pics it is a BEAUTIFUL- SOLID piece. I believe these are HAND Painted and this one is signed by the painter. TOO you can see on the back there is a HALLMARK stamp but I have no idea what company it is from. Thanks for looking!

The measurements of the bottom tray are 9 7/8" long by 7 3/8" wide. It is 14 1/4" tall. The mirror itself w/o the ball holding is 6 3/4" in diameter. The mirror is its original as is all its parts. Vintage Hollywood Regency Tole Lamp French Bouillotte Style Black Metal Shade
You are bidding on a fantastic vintage tole lamp in the French Bouillotte style. The lamp measures approximately 25.75" tall from bottom to top of finial. The base is approximately 7.25" wide at it's widest point. The shade meaures approximately 15" in diameter and is approximately 6.5" tall. This lamp features 3 candle style sockets that take standard size bulb stems. A classic tole metal shade, and the original arrow shaped finial. It's black in color with fabulous gold detail embellishments. The lamp works beautifully. The switch can be twisted to 4 different positions-off. 1 bulb lit, 2 bulbs lit, or all 3 bulbs lit. One of the plastic candle socket covers has some cracking. This could easily be replaced or positioned to be conspicious. Made of metal painted black with hand painted gold colored flowers Gold paint around edge of tray and hand painted on the 1 3/4 in raised border of the tray. This vintage tray does have a few scratches and areas where the paint has been worn or chipped around the edge as one would expect to see on a tray with age. I have attempted to show detail of the tray condition in photos. However. It appears in great overall shape. Four pads have been placed on the back of the tray so it would not scratch table surface. Vintage Tole Lamp Black 'N Gold Federal/Colonial Design ; Awesome!
This is a Beautiful Vintage Black and Gold Tole Lam p colonial/federal design( about 40 years old or more which makes it used or pre-owned) It is black with hand painted stenciled in Gold designs. It has some scuff marks here and there but nothing that actually deters it from looking wonderful. The electric cord is secure and the switch works fine. Considering it's age it's seems to have held up very well. It is 28 inches tall to the top of the tole lamp shade and 30 inches to tip of lamp, 6 inches wide at base( as of which does still have the felt covering very much intact) 40 inches around the widest part of the shade, shade itself is 6 inches tall/long and 12 3/4 inches wide. The base is very heavy and sturdy. Please take into consideration that the flash reflects or picks up every little mark but to the naked eye does not appear ... moreas such. And the marks are not nearly as noticeable. I was asked what the base was made of and as far as I can tell it is metal. The bottom of the base where light switch is, is very heavy and can see in new pic the felt is in place and I do not want to pull it back to see exactly what makes that part so solid and heavy.Also was asked what wattage bulb can be used? Any standard 60/75/100 wattage light bulb should work well.

Vintage 1950’s Tole Painted Kleenex Tissue Box/Holder Pre-Owned Condition ~ the top and sides look good but the back shows vintage wear and water rust damage. This could be repainted and should not show when hanging on the wall. The top slides apart from the back for tissue replacement. Measures: 10.5" x 5 1/4" x 2 1/4" Has light top and side scratches and scrapes due to use through the years. Holder can be used on the countertop or hung on the wall(no screws included) The tissue holder is black with a pink rose with blue accents in a corner. Great vintage home decor piece! VINTAGE Antique? DOUBLE MATCH HOLDER SAFE HANGER BLACK GOLD Tole PAINTED Metal !
Hello and welcome to our auction! Up for bid today is a vintage(Victorian era? tin metal double match wall holder/safe in excellent condition without any major damage that we can find. The primary color is black and the trim. Tops and bottoms of the holders are painted in gold gilt with a tiny flower in the centers. Interestingingly, it appears the artist included their initials of“WB”at the bottom between the two holders. This piece includes the hole for hanging on a wall and is ready for immediate use for any match– old or new! The only point of interest to be made regarding its condition is some minor bending of the trim on the bottom under the right hand holder. It has loss to the gold paint. This doesn’t affect the function of the piece and is not incredibly obvious due to the black background but we’re condition sensitive collectors ... moreand always feels these items should be mentioned. We never want our customers to experience any unpleasant surprises when they receive our products. We’ve taken care to include closeups for your review and to best illustrate our description.
