This set dates back to the 1940's. A v ery complete 10 piece set- you just don’t find these nice 10 piece dining sets with all of the original pieces anymore. A rare find. There is a beautiful set of 6 Chippendale chairs with pierced carved back splats. Shell carved crests, and fluted front legs. The chairs have a great look. The chairs are sturdy. There are two(2) armchairs included in this set. It is always great to find a pair of arm chairs. The dining table is a classic of the period with a large top with D-shaped ends with incised gadrooned apron. A double pedestal base with out-swept tripod legs, and claw- and- ball feet. There is one large 18" leaf to extend the dining table to 82" long. The china cabinet is a nicely sized vertical examaple with a gorgeous swan neck bonnet top, carved finial and fret design central section. T wo glass doors with nice pierced carved fretwork open to two shelves. The shelves have plate grooves for displaying objects attractively. The base features one drawer over two cupboard doors for storage.
