Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this ... morepiece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. Two smaller locking drawers are aligned over four larged drawers. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. There are some drip marks along the top edge of the mirror(from glue or wood finish, see picture) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some wear associated with age, including chips and minor breakage to the veneers or inlay. See pictures. There is also a chip out of the left side finial and the right top drawer is missing its lock. The wood is cracked around the lock hole on the inside of the drawer. The wheels of the casters do no turn easily and probably need to be oiled. No other breaks or repairs. The dresser stands 70 1/4" tall and is 40" wide and 21" deep. The mirror has maximum dimensions of 33" X 19" We do have other pieces that match this one available. Please check our other listings if you are interested. The marble top has a small chip in it at the back rim edge. I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece. It features a gorgeous burled veneer inlay on the drawer fronts, bail pull handles, and built-in division in the top drawer. The piece is lockable, and comes with the key. I am unsure of the type of wood that it is constructed from. It has dovetail joints, a panel constructed back, and fluted trim accents at the front side framework. Both pieces have been refinished, but missing veneer work was not done, so, as you can see in pics 4& 8 there is slight edge veneer loss at the front side corners. In pic 5 you can barely see that the veneer has been re-glued. There are a few nicks here and there, and there are hardware circles around a couple of the drawer pulls, where the handles have been rotated and made a circle in the wood around. The hardware, as well as the design, makes this piece much more eye catching, with steel pulls and horizontal rosewood tips on each pull. This piece measures 54" x 32" x 18" deep. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. The chest of drawers has a beautiful painted finish, with ... moregorgeous colors and some carved accent details. There are quite a few scuffs and light surface scratches and dings on the piece, and some small areas where the paint is chipping away. The paint has a nice crakling affect as well, which really adds to its vintage patina. I am unsure of its actual age, but it was manufactured by Peck & Hills Furniture Company. It has four drawers, all quite large, and a design that gives it a "chest on chest" appearance. The chest of drawers has a gorgeous fan motif pediment at the top of the back trim, and bracket feet at the bottom. The drawers have the original drop pull brass handles.
