Antique ... moreExact Weight Scale. Not only is this a super cool antique but this scale was used in the famous McCrory's Five& Dime Store in York County. PA. There is a lot of info on google about McCrory's Five& Dime History! Just think how many little kids had their candy weighted on this scale. Just think of their excitement as they watched and waited for the clerk to weigh the candy and give it back to them! Unfortunately the scale has seen better days! It appears to be in fine working order but it really could use a good cleaning. We are not going to attempt to do anything to this scale, we'll leave that all up to the buyer. We do not want to take a chance on damaging any part of this lovely antique! The scale is so old that the labels are all worn or have rubbed off, over time. There is one large label that was on the main arm of the scale and the only text we can make out is"York County, PA" There is no info on the manufacturer of the scale. The only thing we can see is where you read the weight, EXACT WEIGHT printed across the top. We did some research on the Exact Weight company and seen other scales that are almost identical. We are 99% certain this scale was made by Exact Weight but please realize that there is a chance we could be incorrect. We are not scale collector's or experts. 4 PRINTER'S DRAWERS, SHADOWBOXES + METAL LETTERS/NUMBERS!
This sale is for a lot of four shadowbox printer's boxes or drawers. There are two drawers that are pretty much the same with the same drawer pulls- they are 13-1/2 by 10 by 2-1/4. The lighter colored wood one has the divided sections labeled with letters and numbers and it is 12-1/2 by 12-1/4 by 1-1/4 inches. The largest one is meant to hang on a wall and is 20-1/2 by 18 by 1-3/4 inches. It has 48 divided sections and is missing one of the hanging triangles on one side. They have obviously been used but are in good. Solid condition. Also included is a lot of metal letters and numbers. My Selling Policies: All items I sell come from the secondary market(auctions. All the clips are in place and work properly. The hanger hooks have some oxidation due to age, but other than that, they are fine. This is 4 Ornate Antique Domestic Treadle Sewing Machine Drawers. Time to upgrade your cabinet drawers! These are from a Domestic Treadle Sewing Machine from the 1890's. The drawers are solid. Each drawer has an ornate overlay on the face with an orate pull ring handle. The drawers also have tiger oak striped wood. The finish is a little dark with some wrinkles. There are also some dry patches. Mainly on the inner sides. There are aged bumps, scratches and dings. These fit onto a metal supports which are mounted to your cabinet. I have pictured one example, but these are not supplied with the drawers. The edges have some wear. The lower metal bar on the drawer face has some discoloration. Two drawer have broken locks. The insides of the drawers are a little dusty. For proper orientation when installing make sure the wire on the top edge ... moreof each drawer is mounted towards the outside. Each drawer measures 4-15/16" wide x 3-3/4" tall and are 13-5/16" long not including any metal parts. The lock and accept a square key. There is no key. This is an absolutely fabulous antique one piece Victorian four door mahogany closet or wardrobe. With original cloak hooks and campaign drawers and carved decorative finial. Currently having several shelf papered covered shelves someone added to increase storage space, a new owner could have additional or shelves more appropriate to the age of the piece made if desired or it could simply be used for that always needed extra space to hang multiple jackets and store books, gloves, scarves and sporting equipment within a stylish yet functional old Victorian wardrobe, most recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland. This terrific four door closet stands 86 1/2 inches tall and measures 67 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches deep. Front to back. There are a total of three brass cloak hooks around the wall in each end closet as well a three ... moreprong hook in the center plus four along the wall and two more 3 prong hook's in the large center closet, with hooks for a total of 22 coats, jackets or scarves. ANTIQUE JAPANESE TANSU~4 DRAWER 2 PIECE TRAVEL CHEST~LOCKING DRAWERS W/KEY
For auction is an antique four drawer tansu made in Japan. The two piece tansu chest with stand measures 38" wide by 42 3/4" high by 17" in depth. The two chest sections measure approximately 20" in height and are held together by iron fasteners and the stand measures approximately 2 7/8" high. Each drawer has a working lock and the chests come with the original key.
