Antique Elevator Floor Indicator, 1928, Bronze, Otis Elevator 14 1/2 inches Dia.
This antique floor position indicator appears to be made out of cast iron then covered with bronze. It looks bronze but a magnet sticks to it. The numbers and the pointer are bronze. When removed from the Water Board Building in Detroit 29 years ago it was highly polished. It was replaced with state of the art digital position indicators when the elevators were updated by Otis Elevetor co. It has been sitting in my basement ever since. I am sure it will polish up nicely if that is what the new owner would like to do. The building was built in 1928. It is an art deco design and designed by Louis Kamper. Mr Kamper designed many Art Deco High Rise buildings in Detroit. Do a search on the Building and designer to see what a state of the art building it was in it's day. ANTIQUE DUCK DECOY UNMARKED 15 1/2 INCHES LONG VINTAGE BEAUTIFUL GLASS EYES
Here is a very handsome antique duck decoy. It looks to be early 1900's and has great patina. It was part of a collection that was purchased through an estate sale from upstate NY. It is solid and weighs approximately 1.75lbs. It measures 16.25" from tip of bill to tip of tail. It is approximately 5" wide and stands 3.25" tall from base to top of back while the base to top of head measures 6" It is in excellent condition for its age. There are no foul smells to speak of. There looks to have been a small repair made at some point on the back of its head but it in no way takes away from its character.
