They are made out of ox bone and are 12 inches tall. The arms and clothing are attached with very small nails which can be seen in one of the side views. At one time. The man was holding a pole or stick in each hand but over the years. These have been lost. Each figure is attached to a wooden base with a wooden peg. 38" L Victorian Antique CARVED ROSES Faux Ivory Ox Bone Graduated Bead Necklace Here is an approx 38" long ANTIQUE or Vintage"FAUX IVORY" OX BONE-NECKLACE with graduated CARVED ROSE or some type of FLOWER BEADS& BEAD CLASP. I'm not sure of age. However I saw a nearly identical necklace sold that was from Victorian era. There are different shades of ivory to darker ivory on beads, a very nice patina. Read on for size& 3 minor flaws. The largest carved center bead is approx 1" long by a little over.50" wide see pic 2. There are 10 graduated carved beads on each side so it hangs very nicely. The next size is approx.75" long by.50" wide& smallest are approx.50" long by a little over.25" wide. The small smooth beads are approx same size as smallest carved bead. Just a bit more narrow. ... moreThis has very old darkened string. Some people like original or very old string for dating a piece. However I this should probably be restrung. Considering the age I think it natural to have some minor flaws. 1. pic 3 shows 3rd bead up from center has a small crack hangs off center sometimes. A bit of epoxy would hold that straight against string. 2. pics 4& 5 show 2 different beads that either weren't carved well or chipped. You have to really look for this, otherwise you don't notice. 3. the bead clasp does work, but it is difficult to close, I think too large of string was used for small barrel clasp. c.1900 Cantonese Ox Bone Carved Cribbage Board, with Chinese Dragons
A hand-carved and self-contained ox bone cribbage board. Made of pale white material. The dragons have a Cantonese look to them; obviously Chinese. The pins are stored inside the board and secured with a carved, threaded plug. Only three pins remain{2 red/1 white} but they nestle inside the cavity. The board measures about 7 inches long; 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 inches wide; and about 1/2 inch thick. 2 dragon coils around the board. RL-1

1800s UNUSUAL CARVED OX BONE DOG HEAD-HANDLE MAGNIFYING GLASS 14" LONG
Here is an unusual and important 14” Carved Dog Head vintage hand-held Magnifying Glass from the 1800's. We are assuming this was custom-made for someone of importance or someone with lots of money. Let’s go from bottom to top. The heavy polished glass lens measures 4 1/2” in diameter and is 1/2” thick. The glass is seated in a silver or nickel silver case that’s attached to a nickel silver piece This is attached to a hard maple( 6 1/2” turned and formed rod section. It is 7/8” in diameter. Just below the head is a pewter( embossed sleeve that shows a shield. Tassels and two strapped belts. The dot-textured surface of this piece shows worn spots from years and years of hand-held use. The carved one-piece dog head ox bone piece is fitted into the top of sleeve on the wood. The detail in the carved dog’s head is amazing. Definitely the ... moreproduct of a master carver. The spaniel or retriever type dog is baring his teeth in a not-so-friendly look. The artist even carved-in a collar, with buckle and tightening notch holes. The large real glass eyes top off this magnificent piece. The magnifying power of the lens is remarkable! I’m not sure of the origin. Included is a carved ox bone. dip fountain pen. This brass inkwell measures about 6" across the front and 5 1/2" front to back. The two dips have no liners but their hinges work smoothly and each cup lifts out of the base(well one lifts out easily. The other needs to be oiled I think as it is stuck) Stamped into the brass at the base of each dip is the word: AUSTRIA. The brass of the inkwell set is somewhat tarnished and there are a few small dents on the base. The dip fountain pen measures 6" in length. The metal is worn and tarnished but the nib is still sharp and smooth. I can read"Jose Gillo Extra" inscribed ... moreon the nib. The stem of the pen is carved ox bone and there is a hole at its center with a piece of glass inserted. Perhaps this was suppose to be a decorative accent.
