For sale I have a japanese katana sword in samurai mounts. The sword and mounts are in excellent immaculately preserved condition. Minty polish with no chips or rust patches on the blade showing a prominent bumpy harmon. There are some minor scratches. But no nicks or chips and no forging openings. No signature on the blade but the hand guard is signed. Balance is excellent. Lacquered scabbard is in good condition. Though has some scracthes and small chips in the lacquer. Hat with traditional eye shields, plastic bow and sword This beautiful traditional Japanese hina doll has a ceramic moulded head. With inset eyes. The head is made on a wooden spike that is pushed into his bundled straw body. The body is then clothed with 6 layers of cloth; the outer being a beautiful metallic flecked woven cloth. His hands are moulded plastic. The Japanese Doll Festival(雛祭り. Hina-matsuri) or Girls' Day, is held on March 3. Platforms covered with a red carpet are used to display a set of ornamental dolls(雛人形, hina-ningyō) representing the Emperor. Antique Japanese Iron Jingasa. 8-plate construction. Features family crest/mon in gold lacquer. Red lacquer underneath with original cords(which you don't see very often) The family crest is the Kashiwa or Oak Leaf mon of the Makino family from Mikawa Province.
