This is an interesting pair of birds by HOWARD PIERCE. We call them POINTED HEAD BIRDS. Since we could not find them in Darlene Dommel's book on HOWARD PIERCE PORCELAIN. The tallest bird measures 5 1/2" and the one sitting is 3" x 5 1/2" The tallest bird has the HOWARD PIERCE stamp on the bottom. The birds are in EXCELLENT condition, the only possible flaw is a small chip on the bottom of the smaller bird that has been glazed over. There are no other chips or repairs. We have tried to show the chipped area in a picture, but the chip is only seen when you turn it over. Buyer to pay $14.00 for SHIPPING BY PRIORITY MAIL. Description This antique circa 19th century treen eagle birds head ornament is possibly off an old mirror pediment or similar. It is nicely hand carved in oak. The head and first part of the neck are in one piece of wood, the lower part of the neck are in two pieces of wood glue jointed together. This lovely old piece has its original finish and old patination, particularly to the back of the head and base. You are bidding on new cuckoo clock that I have listed as used. This one is a Hubert Herr moving birds stag head cuckoo clock. This clock has never been used. You will see that the very top corner of this clock has some damage that some glue and clamps would repair. The oak leaves that attach to the roof line of this clock would completely cover over this area then the stag head is attached with a screw. Take a look at the pictures and you will also see the different pieces that attached. The weights on this cuckoo clock are pretty heavy as you will notice when you pick the box up. This unusual stone. I believe it may be grit stone. It was dug from a Peat bog, on the Merseyside Lancashire boarder. About 3 miles away from a official museum Neolithic dig. The same marsh land. It was located prod searching(pressing a thin rod into the bog. And was at a depth of 36cm. There are no modern structures in the location. I.e posts, fences, walls, tracks etc. It is 12cm in length 9cm high and 4cm at its widest point. This is a very interesting stone and the photographs do not show most of the carves.

Vtg Chinese Planter/Jardiniere Pedestal Stand Ornate Birds Elephant Head Handles
This 2 piece bronze or brass planter with pedestal stand weighs 32 pounds. It measures approximately 17 1/2" tall. 9 13/16" across the top opening and 35 1/4" around the planter under the elephant trunk handles. The planter looks to be bronze, however, when tested by drilling a tiny inconspicuous hole, the shavings flaked indicating brass instead of being long and stringy indicating bronze. There are L brackets with flat head bolts and hex head nuts to secure the drainage grate in place, as seen in the photo. Numerous scuff marks are visible on the item. A few on the handles and on the rim of the planter appearing as a white mark seen in a photo, also on the outside bottom rim of the pedestal. A blemish is visible on the outside of the planter under the rim to the right of the white scuff. I can not tell if this is a repair ... moreor an imperfection. Antique birds head metal cane
This antique cane or walking stick stands 33 1/2" tall and has a birds head as a handle. The cane I believe to be brass with a silvertone finish over the brass. Is a few of the pictures you can see a brassy color showing under the silver. The cane has two glued on orange stone eyes. One of the stones is missing. The handle is bent forward and there is a slight weld break in the back. There is also a small dent on the side near the top. I have tried to show each of these in a closeup picture.

Lovely oriental chinese verdigris bronze teapot measuring 23cm tall. The base colour of the bronze is a lovely aged verdigris which has rubbed areas. The spout is in the form of a birds head& i presume the water is meant to run out of the crude hole underneath its neck. The body of the teapot is decorated with what i believe to be a tibetan design& script& two birds to each side. Excellent bronze oriental work of art. Unsure if it originated in china or tibet. this is a vintage African hand carved mask that has two birds as the head dress the estate i got this from the owner drilled a hole in it so it can be hung on a wall this will make a nice piece for a collector are just to hang on a wall i am sorry i do not know what tribe its from if any body can tell me what tribe it would help me allot any?s please e mail me

Lalique pair of birds...one head up and one head down..perfect
You are looking at a pair of Lalique birds.one beak up and one beak down. They are in perfect condition. They measure 5 x 3 3/4 and 4 x 3 1/2 inches. The Lalique signature is on the edge of each pedestal bottom.cannot photograph so that it shows. Lalique France. The signature is not distinct enough.
