Stunning antique solid silver box. Southeast Asia circa early 1900. The oval box is made of high quality silver and it is not silver plated. The lid has two levels with several bands of silver around the side. On top is a band of symmetrical design supporting a slightly smaller oval surface of floral design. The delicate design was carefully hammered from the inside or it is called the repousse style. It is very beautiful and authentic. You are bidding on ALL 3 BRASS DEER, not individual. They were bought in what was then Ceylon(now Sri Lanka) in the early 1960's and were antiques then. As they are handmade(not from a mold) the dimensions are approximate. From the highest tip of the horn on each down to the toe- the height is approximately 7 inches. From the nose to the tail on each- the width is approximately 6 inches. They are very. Very HEAVY as SOLID brass, original antiques. If you were to mount them on wood, they would make stunning bookends. They polish up beautifully, but I just don't have the time to do it.

The horse is in a seated position with his head turned towards the back. It has beautiful lines and wonderful hand carvings. The photos speak for itself. The jade was bought in China in the 1970s. There was no private enterprise in Shanghai. China then. This jade was bought from a Friendship Store. I have a jade collection and they are all different. Rare Chinese Antique Hand Carved Solid Hetan White Jade Pendant Circa 1700s
Solid antique Chinese hetan white jade. Circa Dao Guang period 1810s. The beautiful hand carved white jade pendant has a poem by Li Po on one side and carving of Li Po reading on the other side. There is an artist's seal at the end of the poem. The poem is beautifully carved in old Chinese scripts. I bought this jade in the 1970s when China first allow tourists to enter the country. This is a solid silver hat ornament. Made in China circa end of 1800s. The hat ornament is made in the shape of the Happy Buddha. He is in a seated position with his big tummy sticking out. Even though the size of the ornament is very small there are a lot of details. The size of the ornament is small than an AA battery and yet you can see the minute details. Chinese children wore embroidered hats sewn with ornaments to ward off evil and bring good fortune. There are holes on the sides of the ornament for sewing. Great patina from many years of oxidation. Superb quality antique Chinese paper weight made of solid silver. Circa 1920s. Chinese solid silver hallmark. The fantastic weight is made of solid silver and is not silver plated. The weight is shaped as a screen panel. The top part has orchids and butterflies. The bottom part has a poem relating to the arrival of winter. The back of the weight has a Chinese silver stamp'zu yin' 足银 meaning solid silver. Scroll weights were just like paper weights but it served a particular purpose in Chinese literary tradition. Chinese scholars had rice paper scrolls which were very flimsy and in order to write on them the paper had to be weighted down on the corners. Sometime these scroll weights come in pairs or set of fours. This weight came from China in the 1920s.
