Sometimes you see these with a dog carved in them, but this is unique with the fruit basket. This table was really dry when we brought it in, it has been sanded down, over-stained it, and then re-lacquered it to bring out the gorgeous luster of the walnut from the Victorian era of the 1880s. The marble is in really nice shape! It has an OG, beveled edge, and just a couple of tiny little nicks, that we are only mentioning because we like to be thorough.

Marble top is in excellent condition for age with exception of small pencil eraser size stain. With no chips or cracks. As you know. Any antique furniture will have minor nicks or imperfections. We have not tried to repair anything, but did apply a good furniture oil to the entire surface. 19th C. Antique VICTORIAN MARBLE TOP PARLOR TABLE WITH DRAWER Herter Bros. Stand A mid 19th century walnut marble top parlor table with drawer and brass casters. There are no marks identifying the maker however. In research we have found identical tables that are paint decorated and manufactured by Herter Bros. New York and we believe this to be an example by them as well. The marble is mottled gray and white and sits on a walnut base. It stands 30-1/2” high with the marble in place and the ¾” thick marble top measures 24” x 38” The inside of the drawer measures 20” x 17-1/4” and is 2” deep. Condition: Sometime during its life it has been refinished and has had some gluing repairs. The marble has a tight 4” stress hairline and with the cut of the marble shaped as it is there are typical fine nicks found along the edges. There is one ... morechip of wood on the back of the bottom edge of the drawer but it doesn’t affect operation and can’t be seen with the drawer in place. Antique Victorian Parlor Table with Very Large Claw Ball Feet for Restoration
Wonderful victorian table with large cast iron claw and glass ball feet. It is already an impressive piece as is but you may want to do some refinishing and restoration with most notable being that one of the glass balls has a large chip and one of the legs for some reason has a few pieces cut out of it. But overall it is very sturdy and has no warping. The table top is 26" by 26" wide and the height is 30" The width of the glass balls are 3" wide. They are the size of a baseball. Oval Marble Top Victorian Parlor Table..has some wood repairs
If you want a perfect oval top marble table?keep looking. If you'd like a decent looking MT table at an affordable price here it is. I used this upstairs in a bedroom. I am sure it was originally in a parlor as its still a pretty table you could use it in a parlor. It has an older repair to one legs in a couple of places with a re-glue and bracket screwed on both sides. Depending on how you place the table you'd never see it. The top is while marble and it has some scratches on it. These can be buffed out by a marble and tile guy and frankly if you have perfect base and need an oval top the price is worth it just for the top. This is real MT base as its open and always had a marble top Dimensions are 21x27 1/4 and its 29 inches high. No shipping on this but you can pick it up in Indy or you can have your blanket shipper pick it up

Antique Eastlake Victorian Carved Rosewood Parlor Table White Beveled Marble Top
Spectacular Antique Victorian Marble Top Parlor Table. Exceptional details on this table set it apart from the rest. Intricate and unusual pierced carvings on the legs. Very little blank area anywhere on the table. Lots of carving, cutouts and curves. The white marble top is original to the table, nicely beveled ends and cut corners to follow the lines of the table. White wheels, also original to the table are a big plus. Very sturdy construction. For the sake of accuracy, there are a couple of insignificant marks on the marble, and a small 3 1/2" crack line on one end which does not show on the bottom of the marble so it is not all the way through. A lovely Victorian walnut white marble top parlor table. Hand carved and very ornate. Wonderful pierced carved legs. Exceptional detail all throughout the base. Beveled edge white marble top is original to the piece. Very heavy wood and well constructed. Overall in great condition for a 125 year old. The marble has two cracks running fairly central along the width. About 6" each in from the sides. Neither crack however shows up on the bottom of the marble, so it is not as bad as it sounds. Fine Rare Cherry Antique Victorian American Parlor Table Circa 1880-1890
I do not need to say a whole lot about this table. It is exceptional. Solid Cherry which is kind of rare to find. Most tables of this kind were made in Oak and Walnut. Only the richest people back then had these. It has wonderful turned legs and cross members and fantastic griffins holding the stretcher as well as Ball and Claw feet. Made circa 1880-1890. This has a old restoration but I would say still in fine to extra fine condition. Look around and you will see how very hard it is to find a true antique American table in Cherry such as this. This stands 29" tall and the top is 26x26 inches.I will ship this and help with arranging freight.

Antique Victorian Tiger Oak Stand/Table 24"x 24"x 29 1/2" Parlor/Lamp/Occasional
Needs refinished and reassembled. Top is 24" x 23 3/4" and it stands 29 1/2" tall. A lot of the oak is quartersawn tigr oak. Top has some shallow drying cracks which will fill with wax. This was really wobbly and needed reglued so I carefully popped it apart. You will need to replace one dowel rod or maybe not as there is a partial stud left. Also someone had tried to tighten it up with some small finishing nails instead of gluing it so they will need removed. Top has some minor edge/corner wear. Legs and tops are all sound and solid oak. ITEM: This is a gorgeous one of a kind table. In the style of a parlor lamp or end table it has great detailing with a lot of fine carvings. The maker carved several different pieces and then put them all together to make this it is not just one solid piece. It is 9 different pieces with a glass top to finish it off. I am not certain but I believe the wood is either cherry or mahogany. The center pedestal is a sort of barley twist with the surrounding thinner supports looking like columns. The base is in the shape of a triangle with the legs turning out like lions feet into claws holding onto balls. The table top is round with a beveled edge to hold the glass down smoothly. We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique turtle top table. This is a Ca 1860 marble top parlor table. Made from white walnut. This is not your average turtle table. This piece measures 30.25" wide x 39.5" long x 28.25" high. Because of the size of this it is made stronger structurally to bear the weight of the marble. The table has undulating cabriole legs topped with acanthus leaf designs. The base has elegant stretchers that meet in the center and are topped with a turned finial. The marble top has a beveled edge. There are some stains on this but we can attempt to clean them out if desired. The wood on the table has been reconditioned and there were some areas that had losses to the wood that have been repaired. There is an area on one side that has an area repaired at an earlier time. This can be seen ... morein the photos. It does not appear to be a professional repair but we see it as adding character to the piece and this can be placed on the back side where it cannot be seen. I do not know much about furniture but I think its walnut from what I gather. The marble I was told is real and has no chips or deep scratches other then regular surface use, very minor and goes unnoticed. It does have a small discoloration in the marble(depicted) The marble surface is 28 by 20 inches and about an inch thick. An exquisite antique American; inlay and mother of pearl Victorian parlor. Side, or occasional table circa 1885. This is a high style original period piece most likely meant for the front room or parlor where ladies would meet and have tea; or perhaps a gentleman came to call on a young lady. It appears to be hand carved of solid mahogany and features delicate scrolls and vines intertwined and inlaid into the top along with inlaid mother-of-pearl accent buttons. What is truly rare is that the top has it's original old surface and finish; and there is no sign of fading. The color and patina is exactly what it should be. The base also appears to be original finish and surface, but it has been sealed to reduce further oxidation. It measures 29" inches high and 22 3/4"square. This measures 40 ½ inches wide by 26 ½ inches deep by 29 ½ inches tall. The wood is in great shape with no damage. But the back top is a bit dry and a thin coat of varnish or even some linseed oil would rub this right out. There is one small chip in the back corner of the marble but I believe people can restore this if needed but it is not that noticeable being in back. Overall very solid and in great shape with no damage. I will offer some assistance with loading but buyer must either arrange shipping or pick up at my house. The finish has had, at some point, a new coat of urethane and the finish is in very good condition. There are a couple of minor, cosmetic scratches that are not distracting nor severe. Up for auction is a GORGEOUS antique mid to late 1800's large oval all wood parlor table in excellent refinished condition. This table is a wonderful example of veneer and wood carving skills. The top is an all veneer top with large 20" wide piece of beautiful burl or crotch walnut as the wood. This is rare wood at this size and goes to the age of the piece. The edges are beveled in burl at a different angle that catches the light. The 3" scalloped side edges are veneered in burl with cast leaf appliques all around. Offered for auction is this massive and gorgeous Renaissance Revival Victorian parlor table. Original height. Has not been cut down. Beautiful finish to the solid(and very heavy) black walnut base. Beautiful applied carvings on the base with two medallions on each foot. Retains its original porcelain casters. No cracks or splits in the base. Excellent original finish to wood parts. Beautiful solid white and grey veined marble top. Top has incut corners. Two corners have chips, but they are mostly visible from the underside. One partial crack that does not affect the table's use. See photos. Extremely heavy. Will not ship, but will work with buyer to arrange pick up. A wonderful table with all the bells and whistles of the Victorian era. The round top(hard to find round. Most were oval) features slightly inset marble~no sliding around. The apron has all four of its drop carvings. The base offers scrolling. Incised carving, great feet and a center carved urn. Solid and very sturdy, the marble does show some discoloration and a couple of chips on the edge. Not an apology, just a sign of age and character.
