Take a look at the photos. It has all sorts of burl accent panels, rosette buttons all over the place and the base has big bold heavy legs with button accents and burl trim up and down. The legs are joined together with a center turn finial and end in porcelain wheels. There are few flecks here and there and a couple of buttons missing here and there on the trim. The white and gray grain marble has a reverse curve corner with skirted matching base and an ogee bevel edge. The overall size is 31 inches long, 24 inches deep and 30 inches high overall. There are no serious repairs needed on this heavy duty high quality table.

The marble is gorgeous with an ogee bevel edge. It is shaped to the shape of the solid hand carved rose decorated skirt that has a finial on each corner block. The whole top rests upon four multi turn spindle fancy carved legs with buttons and rosettes that are all joined together in the center with a bowl or finial type top. The white and gray grain marble top is in nice condition that has some slight discoloration that isn’t very noticeable. The table itself is in nice original condition. This stand is in very solid ... morecondition. Cosmetically. I't as good as it gets in antique furniture. There's no damage, no repairs. It's in wonderful original condition with a great patina. The marble is in great shape as well. Thereare 2 very minor super ficial nics on the edge. They can barely be fet to the touch. There shown in the pics and hardly visible. I don't sell suprises. So while they're minor issues, I mention them. I'll estimate this piece around the turn of the 20th century in age. The stand is 30" high. It's 12 1/2" at the widest bend in the legs. It has a shapely turtle top frame, floral carvings on the corner legs and skirts, cabriole legs, platform base, and a cup center finial that holds the legs together. There are no marks identifying the maker however. In research we have found identical tables that are paint decorated and manufactured by Herter Bros. New York and we believe this to be an example by them as well. The marble is mottled gray and white and sits on a walnut base. It stands 30-1/2” high with the marble in place and the ¾” thick marble top measures 24” x 38” The inside of the drawer measures 20” x 17-1/4” and is 2” deep. Condition: Sometime during its life it has been refinished and has had some gluing repairs. The marble has a tight 4” stress hairline and with the cut of the marble shaped as it is there are typical fine nicks found along the edges. Here is a handsome original 1890's stand/table that is made of pierced cast solid brass with brass twisted square tubing legs. The stand measures 29" tall. The top is 16" square and the shelf is 8" square. The missing stone inserts would be 10" 6" square. As you can see. The metalwork is in very good condition for its age with no cracks or breaks and excellent detail in the casting. Solid and in good repair. Heavy plate glass in an easy and inexpensive substitute for the missing inserts. These stands have many uses. Use them as a pedestal for sculpture or large urns. Very little blank area anywhere on the table. Lots of carving, cutouts and curves. The white marble top is original to the table, nicely beveled ends and cut corners to follow the lines of the table. White wheels, also original to the table are a big plus. Very sturdy construction. For the sake of accuracy, there are a couple of insignificant marks on the marble, and a small 3 1/2" crack line on one end which does not show on the bottom of the marble so it is not all the way through. A couple small nicks and some light staining. I have made no attempt to clean it. It is 28 1/2" tall with a 14" wide leg spread and the beveled marble top is about 11" across. The walnut appears to be in very good shape overall, one leg looks to have a surface or very shallow crack about an 1 1/4" long(see pictures) Would make a very nice addition to your Victorian parlor or medieval manor. Victorian Era Antique 1860's Turtle Top Marble Table
This auction is for a beautiful Victorian era marble turtle top table with hand carved legs. The only defect on this table is that castors were added and one hole is too large and the castor falls out. This table is part of a large collection of furniture my mother in law had that came from past family. To her knowledge it was in a house where her ancestor General Bryant lived after making his fortune before the civil war in rail roads. She said this table sat in his Foyer and was where visiting gentlemen. Including his friend General Immit Rogers placed their top hats when they came to call. The body is made of a very nice wood with an antique hue as you can see from the pictures. It is glued and not something I would trust to shipping. This measures 40 ½ inches wide by 26 ½ inches deep by 29 ½ inches tall. The wood is in great shape with no damage. But the back top is a bit dry and a thin coat of varnish or even some linseed oil would rub this right out. There is one small chip in the back corner of the marble but I believe people can restore this if needed but it is not that noticeable being in back. Overall very solid and in great shape with no damage. I will offer some assistance with loading but buyer must either arrange shipping or pick up at my house. This base is made of solid Walnut wood with burled walnut on the front. It has a white Italian marble top with gray graining. The marble top has a beveled edge. There is a drawer front with keyhole in the front but the drawer itself is missing. It measures approximately 15 inches tall. 37.5 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. Offered for your consideration is a beautiful antique Victorian Marble Top table. The table measures approx. 23 inches in height. Approx. 22 inches in width and approx 17.5 inches in depth. The table is in excellent antique condition. It has a beautiful Italian white marble top with gray veining and a 1/2 inch beveled edge. The base of the tables are made of solid mahogany wood with a rich red-tone finish. They have carved flowers on the top portion near the marble top. The base is a pedestal with a finial type piece at the bottom in the middle of the base. The marble is marked made in Italy and the mahogany is marked Mahogany Association.
