I am calling this"Huichol like" folk art as I do not know for sure if it is authentic or not. It is a cat carved from wood and covered with brightly colored seed beads in a Huichol pattern. It stands about 3" high by 2" wide and 6" long. Condition is used and is missing about 5 brown beads from the bottom edge of the left fro nt leg as can be seen in gallery picture#5. The colors are vibrant blues. Greens, yellows, and shades of red. A real fun piec e for collectors of native American folk art.

Tiki God "KANE" Hand Carved Solid Wood on Beaded Metal Stand "Vintage"
This is a beautifully detailed. Hand carved solid hard wood, straight from Hawaii and it sits on a metal stand with wood beads wrapped around it. Under the stand is a tag with script explaining the detail of this specific tiki. This tiki happens to be a very special tiki because it is the god KANE which is the Hawaiian god. It is the god of life and everything that is associated with life: water, sunlight and the winds. He represents the god of procreation. KANE was the creator and giver of life. This tiki stands exactly 17 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" at the base and 3 1/4" at the top. This tiki is very old, probably from the early sixties and is quite heavy. The details are amazing and so precise with symmetry. This had to be created by a skilled wood carving artist. Have not seen one like this so don't miss out.

Antique Asian 2-Tier Basket with Lid& Wooden Handle This is a beautiful rare find. I purchased this basket at an Estate Sale where they were selling a lot of Asian items. There are two tiers and the top one is removeable. I've been told this is a Chinese Woven Wicker Cane Basket with wooden beads. There is amazing hand work in the weaving. Carving on the handle and dozens of beads that are strung on a reed that fits in tiny holes. The beads are not glued, so they can turn. It looks as if there is a shellac finish that has preserved the basket perfectly. I try to describe the pieces as accurately as I can. But I'm no expert and you need to look closely at the pictures before bidding. Please look at the last picture that was taken without the flash so you can see how the light shows through the small spaces between the beads.

African beaded carved wooden silver elephant necklace large heavy unique vintage
This well-made peice is really a rare find. It is not marked anywhere. I am assuming it is older because of the chain and clasp(they appear to be made of solid silver, I did not acid test for that, but it looks like old silver and reacts like sterling to a jewelry magnet) The wooden elephants are made of a dark wood and are securely attached to the beads. The beads are made of glass, black and white. This is a really exceptional old peice, I've never seen anything like it. I will insure it for free if the auction goes for over $100.

This hand carved and seeded bowl is seven inches wide and 3 and a half deep. There are a few seed beads missing as it is an older item but the design and colors are vibrant and attractive. Along the edge there is a small missing beaded section(see photo) roughly the size of half a penny. The outer carving is in good condition. I do not see a makers name but I am not familiar with where and how makers sign these bowls.

It was most likely made by the Huichol indigenous peoples of Mexico in the Province of Nayarit. But it could also have been made by the Cora peoples. It measures approximately 4 inches to the tip of the horns and 1.5 inches wide. It is in very good shape other than a few missing beads here and there. It is constructed of hand carved wood underneath all of the beads. And there is a hole on the very top that I assume is supposed to be for a pen or for a pencil to sit in. Offered here here is this antique Native American Skull Crusher/ Dance Wand. I have had this for nearly 30 years. It was previously owned by a man who was a Narragansett. He collected all things Native. He passed away in the early 1980's when he was in his nineties. I acquired it at an auction of his collections in 1986. This Dance Wand is a Ceremonial Skull Crusher. It measures 11 3/4" long. The handle has strung seed beads decorating it. The beads have begun to fall off as can be seen in the photos. They are green. Black, and white. The'head' is made of soapstone It is carved around at two points and dyed red and green for decoration. There is a red and green dyed horse hair braid attaching the stone to the handle. Could be from Tibet, China or Thailand. Little is known about this necklace except that it dates approximately to the Victorian era and that each bead was individually carved. The beads are graduated and the largest ones are nearly 1/2" in size. This might have been a flapper's necklace. Beautiful beaded necklace made of genuine graduated horn beads ranging from 6mm to 26mm. The seven largest beads are made from slices of horn that have been bonded together. But the rest of them each appear to be carved from a single piece. The clasp is especially interesting as it is made from two pieces of horn carved like two small hooks. The two ends interlock like two cupped hands and hold together very well. There are some slight imperfections on the beads but as they are all made(most likely by hand) from real horn this is to expected and should not be viewed as defects. Necklace measures 30" inches in length with no clasp and beads range in size 7/16" to 11/16" inch. Topaz beads are very dark and have dark g re y color but show translucent against light. Carved Jade Sterling Silver Brooch Pin F-M Large Oval w/ Stone Beaded Edge
jadepin Offered for auction is a very old carved jade brooch on a sterling silver frame. The stone is a grayish green color in a stylized floral motif. The bezel has a twisted wire decoration and a row of stone beads that are attached by a wire around the edge. This pin has a locking clasp. And is oval in shape. It measures 1.7/8" x 1 1/4" across the widest points. It is stamped Ster-F-M on the reverse side of the sturdy frame. Though pre-owned, this appears to be without damage of any sort. Vintage Plains Indian Beaded Walking Stick with carved dog head & silver tip
Vintage Plains Indian beaded walking stick with carved dog's head& silver tip on the other end. Handle measures 5 1/2" from tip of dog's nose to very end of silver tip. Total length is approximately 33 1/2" Measures 2 1/2" diameter under the handle to approximately 2" at the bottom. Beads are of a small veriety very colorful& tight. A few small places of missing beads as shown in photos. Dog head is nicely detailed& the silver tip is hand hammered with no markings. I would date this piece to 1020-1940& maybe Navajo or Sioux. Vintage Tiki Hut Sandals Shoes - Carved Beaded Wood from the 1940's
These appear to be souvenir shoes from the Philippines. They are hand carved and signed on the bottom with"VLA B-2" I am selling them as collectible. Rather than wearable due to their extremely narrow size. It does not appear that they have ever been worn, as the signature on the bottom is in pencil and can still be seen. In case you feel like wearing them though, they are 9 3/4 inches long for the foot and about 2 3/4 inches wide at the ball of the foot. The heels are 3 1/2 inches high. Please notice the various scratches and cracks in the wood. Each shoe has a crack that shows on the top and side of the shoe where one of the nails goes in. They are in great condition for their age. But are not perfect. The sequins and bead work is remarkably good. Two sequins appear to be missing, but it doesn't harm the design of these cute ... moreshoes. The paint on the wood is still bright and in good shape for the age of these shoes. These would display nicely in your tiki theme room. Adding a spot of color! Enjoy!
