This is a f abulous vintage shawl. Wrap, shrug from the Victorian era, pre 1900, in nice condition. The detailed bead work is amazing, especially on the back. It still has the original ribbon tie wrap. I hope the pictures tell the story, because I really don't have the words to describe it. I imagine a garment like this would have been worn occasionally to fancy balls. It is likely around 125 years old, and fragile, but fabulous and still wearable. The mesh is stretchy so it would fit many different sizes. This type of garment doesn't come on the market very often, so don't let it get away. Vintage Victorian Black Beaded Cape w/ 3" Wide Lace Trim, Beautiful
Vintage Victorian Black Beaded Cape w/ 3" Wide Lace Trim. Beautiful This is a vintage victorian or edwardian black wool cape that is covered in a chevron pattern of rows of black glass bugle beads. The front placket and entire bottom edge is trimmed in a 3" wide vintage black lace. The cape has a stitched on shallow stand up collar and it closes with heavy duty older hooks and eyes. I love the pull up at the back hem and the cut out effect around the lower arms so the top edge just lays on the arms. This may be hard to see in the pictures. It is not without issues. The black silk lining is in shreds and there is a hole in the wool in the front as shown. A patch may just do the trick to restore it. There is about a 3" fray of the wool on the bottom edge and there is a bottom section of lace that is missing as shown. The neckline ... morehas a gathered lace jabot effect and some of this lace may do to replace the missing lace at the hem. There are a few strands of beads missing but it does not detract. It is quite heavy and still beautiful. A very small size. I ship standard mail with delivery confirmation included. Paypal only. Shipping has been determined by weight and destination. Antique /Vintage Beaded Purse ~ Beautiful Silver Frame Black Edwardian Design
I am offering for auction this Beautiful Antique Beaded Purse Is From The Late 1800's to the early 1900's. The purse is 5 inches wide by 6 inches long not including the chain. The color is a deep rich black and pretty(the photos unfortunately do not do it justice) The design is beautiful. Beaded with a lovely netting with accents attached. There are no tags as it is quite old. Condition: overall the purse itself is in pretty good condition with some damage to the netting covering the purse. This could easily be repaired. The rest of the purse is strong and no other tears or missing beads that we can see. The inside lining is a rich black velvet and in very good condition and securely attached to the frame. The silver or silvertone frame is absolutely exquisite and in great condition. No damage whatsoever and opens and closes great ... morewith no hesitation. There are no marks on the frame that I have found so assuming it is silvertone metal, but, could be silver, you be the final judge prior to bidding as I am selling it this way.Many of these old antique purses are gold and silver and not marked. The chain is also in excellent condition. Overall this is a beautiful antique purse that would make a wonderful addition to any collection or for that special occasion. Buyer pays S/H charges.
