There are many beautiful rosaries being sold- some quite inexpensively- but most will not survive daily prayer for more than a few months without breaking. With wire-wrapped construction each bead is individually wrapped and permanently joined to the next- there are no open loops to come apart. As long as the wire is 20 gauge or larger this style rosary will never break during normal prayer. Things To Look For Before Selecting A Wire-Wrapped Rosary: ~ Each loop should be consistent in size and shape. The smaller the loop the more prone your rosary will be to kinking. although a properly wrapped rosary can be unkinked without damage to the construction by holding it by the crucifix and giving it a little shake. ~ The wire on the end of each bead should be wrapped at least twice. This shaker is in great shape and looks great. There are no chips or cracks. There are a couple of air bubbles in it which shows its age. It has a 2 piece cap glass and steel. The glass insert has a little chip and the steel has surface rust. It is approx. 3 1/ 4" to the top of the cap. This salt shaker is out of my Grand moms collection. She belonged to the Antique& Art Salt Shaker Collectors Society. Her initials are M M. Native American Iroquois/ Mohawk- Delicately Beaded Whimsey Heart Shape Picture Frame with space for two photographs. 8" tall X 8" wide- Beautiful clear beadwork accented by other colors on blue and beige background- Whimsies were sold at Niagara Falls' tourist shops and more around 1880-1910- The Tucarora and Mohawk people were expert in beadwork and their orate handcrafted beadwork appealed to Victorian tastes and finery. There is missing edge beading you can prepare or have repaired. Some loose threading. Overall an extremely wonderful treasure and item to add to your collection.

Vtg. Native American Iroquois? Beaded Pin Cushion Whimsy 1930's Arrow Head Shape
Up for auction here is a wonderful. Recent local estate find. A handmade Native American(possibly Iroquois) pin cushion(circa 1930's. Maybe earlier) It is in very nice condition considering it's age.The pin cushion is in the shape if an Arrow Head. And made of presumably cotton fabric, in neutral(tans) color, front and back, the filling is unknown. It is adorned with ric-rac, and mostly clear glass beading along the edge, looped clear glass beads around the bottom, and more decorative beading on the front center in a flower motif, and still more intricate beading at the top, with additional smokey colored beads. The beadwork is almost all intact- i see one missing bead, one of the large type as seen in the center of the flower. It has some wear to the front- looks like red velvet. back is a pale blue material with minimal damage- a few small holes. interior was lined but lining has frayed. It has 13 vertical stripes and is in a seashell shape. It has an ornate silver metal frame with a kissing clasp. The beads are gray or clear. The interior has a beige or tan silky liner that is in nice cindition. Unknown maker. I could not find any markings. The metal chain attaches on both sides of the top bar of the frame. The lower corners of the frames have some separation and loss in the bead/thread work. The frame has a scrolled repeating design. This bag has some loss and issues but is nice and could be left as is or restored/repaired or repurposed. Handmade Great Condition Vintage 1940's CZECH WOOD BEADED Handbag in Heart Shape

The 100% wood beads are in excellent condition and in colors of cream. Mustard, cranberry, olive, brown, indigo blue, and black. The hand bag has a unique lovely heart shape with a metal chain link VICTOR brand zipper closure in perfect functioning condition. The back of the zipper has MADE IN CZECH embossed on the back. The lining is 100% black cotton and has some wear but no holes just some exposed hand stitching and an inch of the small side pockets seam is undone but not damaged. The handle, 9-inches, on one side needs to be re-stitched 100% back into place but just needs some securing back into place as shown in the last two pictures. There are some beads missing ... moreon the bottom of one handle that's not seen unless the handle is turned over. In the pictures you can't see where the beads are missing. The spot is directly underneath the top part of the handle where ones hand holds. The other handle and the body of the bag, the heart shaped, have all their beads intact with none missing.
