VINTAGE FRENCH GLASS LIGHT SHADE Click to view supersize image to start a new paragraph use- A Souvenir of Times Past. A charming small vintage French glass light shade. F itted with an unusual brass galley and edged with a pretty old beaded fringe. The leaf embossed dome design is a rich graduating*Coral Pink colour. In very good used vintage condition. There is some small chips and nibbles to the top bulb holder rim. This often occurs after years of previous use. It has no effect and can not be seen under the brass gallery. I cannot be sure if the fringe is original. It is certainly old. It does have a few missing stems and some have bead& tubes have been lost over the course of time. This could be replace with a new fringe but you do not really notice it and if anything. I think it adds to its originality and give a touch of wistful ... morenostalgic charm. Original pair of 1920's Czech glass earrings~ with lovely little glass flowers in pastel shades, securely wired together with prong-set faceted jewels and suspended from the most wonderfully detailed little brass bird hooks Each earring measures approx 1& 7/8" from top of wire The pair weighs 7 grams In very good. Gently used vintage condition~ The round green bead at the top of one earring has stable interior cracks which do not detract, but I wanted to mention them. This is an antique Victorian micro glass-beaded purse(or handbag) with an ornate pierced brass chain and handle. There are some areas where the beads are missing from over the years. Any loose beads found are included inside the purse. Also. There is one small rhinestone missing on the top opening. The purse is about 5" length not including the chain. The cloth lining seems to be original. I have done no restoration and everything is original as found. Would be perfect for the restorer of such intricate beaded purses. VINTAGE GLASS BLACK BEADED FLAPPER PURSE WITH BRASS DECORATIVE HANDLES METAL CH
I don't know the age of this purse. But have found it very beautiful! I got the purse at an estate sale and there was no information that came with it, so I will do my best to describe it. The purse measures 5" x 6" It is Black Beaded with what I believe are glass black beads that are sewn together very loosely. From what I can see. There are some of these beads missing. One side of the purse seems to fully intact, the other side looks as the thread is getting very old& coming undone in spots. The top of the purse is made of brass that has etching on it and flowers that you can see in between, and that is also where the body of the purse is sewn to the brass handles. There is a kiss closer on the very top with a 14" metal chain for carrying. Each link in the chain measures 1/4" and where this chain connects to ... morethe purse, there are brass openings the chain connects too which also has etching on them. The purse is lined, with silk that once used to be a very pretty blue green but has now faded, and dirty. The lining is finished off around the handle area with a unique trim to make it look more of a plush finish. The lining is fully intact except in one small area at the unique trim area of about 1 1/4" near the kiss closer. It's a little hard to see. The kiss closer looks like they are acorns. I have not done anything to clean this purse or to try and fix the lining at all. Please email with any questions and I will answer if possible. Rayo Brass Oil Lamp with White Milk Glass Beaded Drape Lamp Shade
This is a Rayo brass oil lamp with a white milk glass lamp shade that has a beaded drape design. This lamp has not been electrified and we assume it will still function as an oil lamp(we did not test it) It appears to have all the basic parts for functionality. However it is missing the shade ring that the glass lamp shade would rest on. It is currently resting on the three prong arms that would normally be attached to the ring. This lamp is marked"Rayo" on the center burner, plus it has several patent dates(see photo) The lamp is in good used condition with a few small dings on the brass font(see photo of knob for the two largest ones) The brass has an aged patina to it. There are some small pinhead fleabites around the bottom rim that are typical of this type of lamp. This beautiful small purse was hand knitted from what appears to be a silk yarn. While being knitted the blue glass beads were added within the knitting. These beads are true blue in a dark hue. They had been tumbled so they do not have sharp facets. Yet are angular enough that they do sparkle a bit from the light. They have been tested and are indeed glass. None of the beads are broken or chipped! The frame is made of brass and exquisite in design with open work of scrolls and flowers. I just love the design of this ... moreframe with its triangular shape and push ball lock! The frame is perfectly straight, perfectly opens and closes, perfectly locks down and unlocks and snugly attached to the knitted bag. At the top of the closure is a bar for attaching your own beautiful piece of silk ribbon for hanging over your wrist(auction does not include silk ribbon. You could also attach a chain, however to keep true with the original design a silk ribbon would be perfect! When you open this purse you find that it is fully lined with navy blue silk fabric. There is a small coin pocket attached to the inner lining. The thread used to make the lining is a pink colored silk thread, while the thread used to attach the lining to the knitted border was a blue silk thread. The knitted border was then attached to the frame also using a blue silk thread. The smooth edges on the frame were made with holes for the thread to stitch through holding the frame to the bag. Other than the frame having been made from a mold, the entirety of this evening bag was done by hand. This is a magnificent about 16-inch tall old lamp. The beaded blue glass shade is about 8-inches across. This piece has no cracks. There is a place near top in photo with the bubble in glass that could be stress. But it may be a seam. Where the globe sits on base it has a little roughness but is not chipped. The middle glass is about 3 1/2 inches across. I am not sure of age or if it is all original. The cord and plug-in look old. The marble base is about 4 1/2 inches square and has old felt on base. 12 Sided Brass Rings And Glass Beaded Rain Chain
I made this chain from 8. Brass, 12 sided napkin rings. They are round but faceted into 12 sections on the outside. I drilled each ring top and bottom then threaded heavy gauge copper wire and handmade glass beads. No two exactly alike. There are glass beads inside each ring as well on top and bottom. The rings are connected with small brass swivels.This allows each ring to spin or turn individually. There is a colorful swirled glass piece on bottom finishing off the piece and a metal ring attached on top to hang it with. Finished chain is roughly 45 inches. A well made piece for inside or out. antique victorian glass beaded mushroom brass petite foot stool ottoman: Old 10" 3 footed brass victorian footstool whit a glass beaded cushion top. The old red velvet is badly worn and disintegrating along with the bottom cover. This would not be that difficult to replace. The bottom wood insert is attached with 3 screws, one of those screws does not want to go in the whole way, but this wood piece is secure. The brass could use some polish. The glass bead work seems to be in nice condition, there may be a missing bead or two, but nothing that jumps out!

Antique glass & brass beaded handle dagger letter opener knife leather sheath
This unusual antique letter opener has glass beads with some brass spacers on the handle. It measures 7 1/2 inches long and the handle is 3/8 inch wide. The leather sheath is 4 1/2 inches long and at one time had stitching as the patterned holes remain and some thread remains on the back of the sheath. The blade has some tarnishing which possibly could be polished off. The blade tip is quite sharp and could be a formidable weapon.
