This artisan crafted estate necklace measures 19.5" long with a decorative antique-silver-tone toggle closure. It's primarily a strand of smooth round amber beads centered by a jumbo 35mm round orange-y amber bead with two 20mm orange-y amber beads with ten 16mm round and two 12mm round yellow amber beads. These are genuine amber. But I don't know if they're'pressed' amber or what, if any treatments may have been used. The amber beads alternate with various polished earth-tone stones ~agate, tiger's eye, etc~ measuring 15-18mm wide with six faceted 8mm yellow and green beads of unknown material. Antique victorian beaded picture & frame of St. Joseph art religious rare early
For sale rare early victorian beaded picture of St. Joseph. This picture is in very good condition for its age. There are some beads missing from the picture. There are some beads missing from the crown and the end of the stick that St. Joseph is holding. I'm not sure the age of the frame but also appears to be quite old. I bought this picutre from an elderly person that told me it was from the victorian era. The picture is made up of a lot of tiny little beads stuck to a type of board by hand. the frame is 16 by 18 inches. the picture is about 7 and 1/2 by 9 and 1/2 inches. VINTAGE MOOSEHIDE JACKET This vintage USED moosehide jacket is from the mid 1960's from the small community of Fort St. James. Situated on the picturesque Stuart Lake in northern British Columbia, Canada. Jacket can still be worn as it has been taken care of really well these past 50+ years and was professionally cleaned about 15 years ago. Jacket was also worn in a stage production in the wild and wooly rodeo stampede town of Williams Lake, BC. If you don't want to wear it jacket will also make a lovely display piece. Jacket- is very attractive with red and yellow beaded flowers with green foliage on the front of both sides. Fringe on front measures 6" long. The fringe on the sleeves measures 5" long. Jacket bottom and sleeve bottoms are scalloped. The heavy duty zipper measures 21" long and is in very good working ... morecondition. The two front pockets both measure 6" long and are deep. Jacket back is decorated with three(3) gorgeous beaded flowers- one in red& yellow and two in blue and yellow all with green foliage. The back fringe measures 8" long. Jacket is in very good clean condition- with only some minor spots from wear(see pictures. Not all spots depicted) The fringe is all in tact, the bead work is good(a couple of loose threads but beads are still there) The front fringe doesn't match up exactly but its not really noticeable. Jacket is fully lined with a green cotton fabric. The collar is clean. Jacket is handmade with a sewing machine. I would estimate jacket to be a men's medium in size. Measurments of jacket laid flat are as follows. Silver and gold thread. Icons crafted for the Russian Orthodox Church were regularly enclosed in ornate cases. The making of beaded icon casings probably began in the 18th century and continued into the early 20th century. Glass beads. Glass gems, pearls, and metal foils, were used to achieve a highly encrusted appearance. In this icon St Nil is depicted in the monastic garment called the Great Skema. And in his left hand he holds a prayer rope-Chotki. Antique Russian Icon St. Vasiliy or St Basil the Great 19 century Size of icon: 40 x 34 cm Hand painted Tempera on wood Condition is good Riza decorated with beads. The magnificent riza is a work of decorative Folk Art. Basil was born during the reign of Emperor Constantine. While still unbaptized. Basil spent fifteen years in Athens where he studied philosophy, rhetoric, astronomy and all other secular sciences of that time. His colleagues at that time were Gregory the Theologian and Julian, later the apostate emperor. In his mature years he was baptized in the river Jordan along with Euvlios his former teacher. He was Bishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia for almost ten years and completed his earthly life fifty years after his birth. He was a great defender of Orthodoxy, a great light of moral purity, a religious zealot, a great theological ... moremind, a great builder and pillar of the Church of God. Basil fully deserved the title"Great. In liturgical services, he is referred to as the"bee of the Church of Christ which brings honey to the faithful and with its stinger pricks the heretics. Numerous works of this Father of the Church are preserved; they include theological. Apologetical, ascetical and canonical writings as well as the Holy and Divine Liturgy named after him. Antique Russian Icon with Kiot Saint Mitrofan of Voronezh Miracle Worker early 19 century Monastery work shop Size of icon: 26 x 21 cm Size og Kiot: 34 x 29 cm Hand painted Tempera on wood Condition is good Riza Embroidered with Gold and Silver thread Decorated with pearls and beads. It is a true treasure. The magnificent riza is a work of decorative Folk Art. St. Mitrofan(Metrophan) of Voronezh. Canonized in 1832. An abbot and then bishop of Voronezh. Mitrofan(1632-1703) was a friend of Peter the Great. He is reputed to have possessed miracle-working powers. He managed the Kosmin Monastery near Yuryev-Polsky and the Unzha Monastery in Makaryev before being promoted to a bishop's see in 1682. He supported Peter the Great in his efforts to build the first Russian warships in Voronyezh but was generally critical of his westernisation policies. ... moreMitrofan was buried in the Annunciation Monastery in the Tsar's presence in 1703. When. Fourteen years later, his tomb was opened, Mitrofan's body was found to be uncorrupted and his relics were proclaimed to have healing powers. After he was formally canonised in 1832 and Nicholas I paid a visit to his shrine, his fame increased and large numbers of pilgrims from Central Russia started flocking to his tomb in Voronyezh. The first Moscow church in his name was consecrated in 1895. The Bolsheviks confiscated Mitrofan's relics but did not destroy them. They were returned in 1989. Venetian Scenic St Marks Square Beaded Purse Jeweled Enamel Frame Venice Gondola
Exquisite micro beaded multi-color antique purse. With Venetian scene on both front. St Marks Square is in the background, with a gondola& canal scene at foreground. Vibrant colors in different shades of blue and orange, with red, silvery white and some green. It has a fabulous jeweled and enamel frame with faceted cobalt blue faux gems and a cabochon decorative glass beads on each corner. The white enameling is in various shapes and designs on the frame. The chain handle is attached to frame with swans. And has two round glass beads in a deep turquoise blue color. There is an enameled pull clasp that also has a cobalt blue stone. And the interior. WOW! Inside is lined with beautiful heavily textured pink silk with two tones of hand made silk flowers adorning the edging, interlaced with woven(likely real) gold threads. This purse is pretty ... morelarge. The frame is 7" wide. And actual beaded scene portion measures about 8" at widest by 9-3/4" tall. The fringe extends additional 1-1/2" to 1-3/4" Chain is 7" above frame. The overall height when holding the purse up is approx. 18" chain to fringe bottom) This is an authentic piece. Dating early to mid 19th century, probably circa 1830. I believe it is in completely original condition, with no repairs evident, and lining also looks original. For its age, this stunning purse is in extremely fine condition, both inside and out, though it does have a few issues that keep it from being"perfect" EXTERIOR BEAD WORK The twisted fringe is"shabby" and missing some fringe work or some of the beads. It should be repaired before use or display. As more beads will come off the fringe if it is not addressed. I see two small areas with missing beads/small wear holes. Near/under one frame bottoms at the back, and on the other side at bottom of frame there's a very slight gap. See close ups. No other issues seen with the bead work- no beads missing to design and no holes/tears or other damage to purse except as noted above. ENA

Glitzy Black & White Beaded Dress by ST. MARTIN Flapper Style
You are bidding on a vintage dress(1990s) that was worn once and stored carefully until now. It is tagged ST. MARTIN. But there is no size tag. My best guess would be an 8 or 10. It hangs a few inches below my knees and I am 5'4 1/2" tall. It has side slits at the bottom and the sleeves are very flowing. It is lined with a gauze like material. As mentioned, I am not sure which is the back or the front, but the tag is attached to the decorative side. I do not believe you would sit on all that beading!
