ANTIQUE KATCHUSHI JAPANESE SWORD TSUBA--NOT A CHINESE REPRO
I am offering a Momoyama/Edo period(approx. 1600’s) Japanese tsuba with a slightly raised rim. I estimate that the guard belongs to the Katchushi(armorer) school of tsuba makers. The tsuba measures 3 and 1/4 inches high. 3 inches wide and is about 2 mm thick. The openwork design is of some kind of flower blossom. The hitsu-ana(opening for the sword implements) is of an older style. The slightly raised rim is well done and shows the skill of the maker of this guard. The plate shows a very nice hammered pattern and there are some silver and copper inserts on the two surfaces(four on each side) The guard shows a nice dark patina and is in excellent condition with no rust. Dramatic antique Balinese wood carving of a seated man. There is a carved sword depicted on his back going into the back of his clothing. Antique Japanese Iron Jingasa Edo Period Samurai Sword Armour Accessory
Antique Japanese Iron Jingasa. 8-plate construction. Features family crest/mon in gold lacquer. Red lacquer underneath with original cords(which you don't see very often) The family crest is the Kashiwa or Oak Leaf mon of the Makino family from Mikawa Province. This type of iron jingasa is rare and was most likely used by ashigaru in the teppo(gun) core. Mid to late Edo period(1750-1864) Very good condition. 36 x 36 x 8cm. Ivory colour dagger/sword handle rare Antique Japanese/Chinese ?
This was given to me by my father approximately 30 years ago and it was given to him by an old army friend after the war apparently it was found during an heavy downpour its been amazingly carved but is damage apparently it used to have a part blade that was loose and now gone the carving shows a warrior on top of another in foliage the carving is stunning but looks like it's missing an arm please see pictures it weighs 92.2 grams and is 14 centimeter long by 3 centimeters at the base starting low grab a bargain

Vtg Antique Signed Samurai Japanese Sword Faux Scrimshaw Sword Knife
This is an old carved faux ivory scrimshaw sword. Measuring 5 1/4" long. Blade itself measures 3 1/2" and is very sharp. Signed on blade as shown in close up photo.
