This one still has the cross or crucifix. Palm, plate(communion) spoon and cloth(for polishing? in the little box that opens. When that little box is open, the ornate candle holders can be seen and used. The upper box contains a colored chalk statue of Mary or the Blessed Mother holding her dead son(Jesus) in her lap. The glass in painted. On the bottom of the picture of the last supper. It has the name of all apostles. It also says Blessed Be Thy Holy Name and IHS. This fabulous antique which measures 23X13X4. The are crack of each statue which is normal for an antique wood made statue. I didn't fix them nor did I try to eliminate the old age since I didn't want to minimize the patina. The size and the weight varies as the one on the right is much heavier and it reaches 24 inches in height. The first statues has a height of 23 inches with length of 6 inches and a depth of 6 inches. Super detailed and very seldom found in these sizes. There are crack of both statues where the longest will be maybe 6 inches.

They look as though they were hung or mounted on an alter or as a decoration as there is a hole for a hook or something. There carved from solid blocks of Cedar. I believe they are called Santos or saint statues. Their each about 17 1/2 inches tall.
