ANTIQUE RARE FIND HUNGARIAN AUSTRIAN 1686 1877 AMULETS CHARMS SILVER BRACELET
PIECE DETAILS: When I came across this bracelet at a charity auction I fell in love with the history it carries. The bracelet is made of silver(stamped 835) and has three coin charms. One hoof, on horn or claw, and a bone or tooth of some kind. The hoof, horn/claw and bone/tooth reminded me of amulets I have seen at museums. Two of the charms are a one kreuzer silver coin from 1684. The coin is inscribed“MAX GAND D G AR EPS SAL SE AP L” on one side and"S RVDEERTUS XV EPS SALISBURY: 1684" On the other with smooth edges– it was minted in the reign of Archbishop Maximilian Gandolph von Kuenburg and measures 2.8 cm or about 1.1" The third coin has the forllowing inscriptions on one side: Franc. IOS I D G Austriae, imperator" and on the other side it has"Hungar bohem gal 1fl lod ill rex a a 1877. The sides of this coin ... morealso have an inscription that looks like"VIRIBUS UNITIS" and design. The coin measures 2.9 cm or 1.1" The dark brown horn/claw is 2" long and held by a beautifully designed frame. The hoof is 1.3" long and ditto for its frame as well which is different than the horn/claw one and looks victorian. Last but not least is this white thing that I think is a bone or tooth it is white and has small protroding parts coming out of it, it is held by a silver top that has inverted hearts in it, so maybe this is an amulet for love( The chain is stamped 835. Is 7" long and.5" wide it has a safety clasp on both sides but one of the sides doesn't have the little ball that it latches into but that's not noticeable. Everything I sell is 100% authentic. No exceptions. If it has a brand name on it. It means that it was purchased from the brand's boutique or a reputable store like Bergdorf, Neiman or Colette.
