Antique Victorian icebox lock catch hinges vintage cast brass ice chest hardware
I have a nice set of ornate Victorian Eastlake cast brass icebox hardware for your consideration. Includes three nice hinges that open and close smoothly. Measure 4 1/8 x 2 inches. A nice large surface rim lock with ornate Eastlake patterning. Hinged handle, and latch. measures 4 5/8 x 2 3/8 inches. It works nicely as well although there is no key for locking mechanism. As well, there was a repair on the right hinge pin. Looks like it was replaced with a brass pin. As the original would have been iron. There was a small amount of grinding marks where the repair was. Not very noticable but I wanted to make you aware. See last two pics closely. And a nice hard to find matching catch for latch. All are cast brass with no cracks or breaks. The back service panel on lock is iron and has a date June 28th 1887. Hard to read date. 5 pieces in this ... moreset. Nice set for renovated furniture, cabinet, or cupboard as well. lot antique nickel brass hinges latches vintage icebox ice chest latch hardware
I have a nice lot of old brass icebox hinges and latches with catches for your consideration. 5 hinges. Two catches and two latches. The handles on the latches are cast brass. There is a left and a right catch and latch. The right latch is a flush catch and the left latch is an offset which looks like a 1/4 inch. They have quite a bit of character I am guessing they came off a side by side double door chest. Nice for reuse on a number of different possiblities for your next project or renovation. Hinges look to have a 3/8 inch offset and all operate smoothly for reuse. These look like they would clean up quite a bit although I did not want to destroy the patina and thought I would let the new owner decide. I have a nice old icebox latch with matching catch and hinges for your consideration. These have seen years of service but are in reusable condition. The hinge pins are in decent condition for reuse. The hinges and latch are a pressed brass and the catch is cast brass. Finish is a little shabby where the silver chrome has some blemishes. Wear, and scuffing consistent with there age. Some old paint as well. These appear to be a 1/4 inch offset, Hinges, as well as the latch and catch combination, so they can be used together. Bring some character to your replace, repair or vintage renovation. Lots of opportunity for furniture restoration as well. Questions encouraged and welcome otherwise what you see is what you get. I have a really nice antique oak 3 door ice box. I'm not sure of the specific age of the ice box. But was told sometime before 1940's. The ice box measures 41 1/2 inches tall, 32 inches wide, and 16 3/4 inches deep. Brass hardware and all the hinges/latches are in good working order. There is no damage of what I see and the wood is in pretty nice condition. No major scratches. Scuffs, etc. If you live within 100 miles of Springfield. IL, I can arrange a delivery to your place, but will need to charge $100.00. My pick up truck doesn't get great gas mileage. VINTAGE ANTIQUE ICE BOX CHEST REFRIGERATOR SOLID BRASS HINGES - SET OF FOUR
These are very large. Well made solid brass nickel plated hinges. They may have been used on a large ice box or possibly a large walk-in refrigerator. They are approximately 10" x 3" and weigh about 3 lb. each. They are in excellent condition and will work very well as decorative hinges on a large chest or door.

Early 20th century antique vintage oak ice box tin metal lined cabinet chest
An antique oak ice box circa 1900. Measuring approximately 34.5" tall, 17.75" wide and 16.5" deep. A tag on the back appears to be that of a shipper and we do not know the maker. There is normal wear and tear commensurate with age and use and there is some white paint splattered here and there on the surface(mostly the back) There is also a bit of repair to the inside of the top lid and the black liner there has come loose(pictured) It is structurally sound and there are no major problems.
