Up for Auction is an Authentic Native American Indian Incised Terra Cotta Clay Bead. This Bead was made by an Indian tribe called the Yahi or Yana now extinct. The Bead has Incised Connecting"O" and Incised Mountion Peaks all around the Bead. Comes with a Jeff Baker. Grade 8, COA. This Clay bead was found many years ago on private property in Northern California in the central. Sierra Nevada Mountains on the Western side of the mountain range. Because of the location where they were found, Native American experts believe they likely belonged to a tribe known that we call the Yahi Indians. This bead is made of terra cotta clay and measure respectfully about: 1 7/8" long x 3/4" Wide. One expert believes that the bead has a coating of tree sap or resin glaze to protect and preserve the clay bead. There also appears to be ... morea pigment that was applied to each bead before the protective coating was applied. You can still see the pigment in the incised grooves of the beads. This card is a postally unused early chrome. Circa late 1940's- 1970's. Card shows Death Valley Sand Dunes with two women posting and Funeral Mountians in the background. Placer gold mining claim in Kern County, Southern California. Clam is the El Paso Mountains. The claim is in Mesquite Canyon. Mesquite Canyon is rugged. The surrounding hillsides are steep. The valley drywash runs through the entire claim. This claim has beauty, seclusion, a nice camping spot, an old prospect, quartz float all around, and thick local gravel deposits. There are two different sources of gold here. Well worn gold from the old Tertiary deposits, and coarser gold from the many quartz veins in the ... morecanyon. You will find placer gold in the drywash, and in the bench layers of gravels. The drywash has exposed bedrock, waiting to be cleaned. Last time there we cleaned a few crevices, and ran only a few 5 gallon buckets of loose drywash material. We got some specks, a few small flakes, and a chunky little picker. If you look at a topo map, you will see 7 quartz mines a quarter mile up the canyon. These ore veins also contain copper, and trace amounts of silver. There are countless decomposing veins on hillsides. This is drywash country. There are no surface water sources on claim. If you enjoy the sunshine and the beauty of the Mojave desert. This claim is for you. The claim monument is off the road. About in center of claim. The 4 corners are marked with rock mounds. The Claim is on BLM land. About 1.5 hours north of Los Angeles. Mesquite Canyon Rd drives through the claim. Claim is about 1 mile north of paved Redrock Randsburg Rd. Turn-off 3/4 mile west before ghost town of Garlock. Offered here is an unusually long box side from The Giant Powder Company Consolidated. Measures 24.75 x 7.50. Found underground in the Cerro Gordo Mine in Cerro Gordo. California. Also known as the Union Mine, this is one of the oldest silver mines in the Inyo Mountains. Brought out with the permission of the late owners Mike Patterson and Jody Stewart many years ago, from the 86 Level. The rest of the box was not to be found. Have never seen another this size. Glass may be dusty or have smudge marks or other dirt on it(I do not usually attempt to clean before selling) or may have minor scratches. Surface abrasions, or oxidation between the sheets of glass. Small specks or scratches may be present in the slide image itself. There may be writing, scribbles, or other marks on labels. In some cases there may be a label on the reverse side which is not shown. There can be small nicks on the edges or corners of the glass and also small scratches on the glass which I might not call out. I do make a special note of any cracks(unless they are behind the tape and I don't ... moreknow they are there) The tape holding the slide together may be loose, ripped, torn, damaged, or partially missing, and sometimes the slide might be sticky from the adhesive on the tape or label. If there is a date/year in the title of this listing, it comes from the label on the slide and is usually the date of the item(such as artwork) pictured in the slide. For slides which are framed in stapled cardboard. There can rust on the staples, slightly deteriorating cardboard, etc. Pictures of these are hard to get perfect: Actual slide is usually more"in focus" than the pictures I take.
