The charm measures 1 1/4" including the split ring x 1/2" in wide and is marked sterling.925REU and made in Germany on the reverse. This is a very nice charm! Rare Vintage Large 1884 Map of California Up for sale is a great looking Gram’s Atlas 1884 map of California based on date collected in 1880. George Gram is a noted engraver and map publisher. Shows the whole state of California. Some of Oregon to the North and a lot of Nevada to the East. This is a very nice, vintage rare map that is large and would look great framed. The map measures 21 ½ inches x 13 ½ inches. The map has a very nice reddish frame drawn around the borders of the state. In very good condition especially for being 133 years old! Please be aware that these National Geographic Maps are anywhere from 20 to 80 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So the maps you are buying will be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders of the maps may also have small tears. On occasion maps may smell musty from the way they have been stored in the past. OWhen the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in ... moretime. The map is surrounded by a turquoise border and a light pink border. The outside border is white. There is no maker’s tag. Based on the drape and weight of the fabric. My guess is that this tablecloth is a rayon/cotton blend. Please take note: In the attached photos the map’s background looks pink. But it is actually white. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Vintage Souvenir Apron Linen California Bright Colors Map Favorite Places
Vintage California State Apron This souvenior apron is brillantly colored in red. Yellow, green and black and features the state of California as well as some of Nevada, Oregon is marked on this apron but does not feature any of its monuments. Around this apron is a southwest or Mexican design, from men wearing sombreros and playing a guitar, the large cactus plants and bull fighters. Several great California attractions are printed on this apron as well from Los Angeles with a large building, Glendale Pasadena with a horse and jockey, Navy Base with a large boat in the ocean to Lassen Volcanic Park and many more. The Pacific Ocean besides having ships in it also has a whale, a woman in a bikini top and the Catalina Island. Nevada is depicted inside a lasso that is being held by a cowboy looking figure, other Nevada attractions on this part ... moreof the map apron includes Lake Meade(with a man fishing) Reno(a woman with luggage) and Carson City. This vintage apron is really neat. The ties on the sides of the apron measure 17 1/2" long each, the top of the apron is 14 1/2" wide. The widest point at the bottom of this apron is 23" wide with a total overall length being 23" long. This vintage apron is in overall very nice condition with no major tears or damage, the only damage on this item is a couple of stains or discoloration on the back of the tie and center piece as seen in the photos. I have not made any attempt to clean this item in fear or damaging so these stains may come out. This vintage 1950's souvenir State of California map towel has bright reds. Royal blues and greens. It is from my Aunt's estate(the second and last CA souvenir towel) and has been packed away for years. I believe she may have gotten it on our trip to the Rose Bowl Parade, the year Mamie and President Eisenhower were in it. It has been gently used but I could find no tears, stains or other imperfections. It is 100% cotton(or maybe linen) and measures 24 by 16 inches. It shows California state highlights such as Mt. Shasta. Many cities, Mt Palomar, Lake Tahoe, Santa Catalina Island. It also shows part of Nevada. It appears the California Wine Advisory Board in San Francisco printed this as the front of small brochures for wine tastings that clubs and organizations put on. This one was the Junior Auxiliary of the Assistance League of Anaheim, California. The date is October 19, 1957. Inside there is a page on how to do wine tasting properly; A Brief Guide to Wine Types and Uses; and The Wines from Concannon Vineyard of Livermore, CA. used for this tasting event. As a bonus to this auction, I am including a vintage brochure for the Concannon Vineyard of Livermore, California. There is no date on this brochure, but since I found these two together, I'm sure it, too, is from the 1950's. I have researched the large. ... more40" x 30" original map by Ruth Taylor in 1945. It is hard to find and sells from $1,400 to $3,000. I have not found a miniature like this, as these were probably not kept by most attendees to the wine tasting. There is very little wear at all along the borders and edges and no tears or rips at all on the folds. It's a cool piece of L.A. history. I own a huge trove of Hollywood and movie history materials collected over 30+ years that I used to research books I wrote. It measures 3 ½ inches by 7 inches; when unfolded, it measures 28 inches by 21 inches. A curiosity on this map is the relative simplicity of the Beverly Hills and Santa Monica areas. Along with some small holes and tears along fold lines.
