The surplice is a loose fitting style and will fit most sizes. It has long sleeves which can be turned up at the cuff. It fits over the head and ties at the neck with cotton ties- and comes to lower calf level. In fair condition- there is some damage on this item. There are several neat darns in the fabric- under one armpit and a patch on the other armpit- some darns at the back of the neck and on the hem of the surplice. The hand worked embroidery is pretty and the garment is wearable. Size- extra large. No labeled size but I would estimate chest size 46-50 inches. From armpit to armpit is approx 28 inches. Length from nape of neck to hem is 43 inches. Shoulder to shoulder across the back is 19 inches. Sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff is 23 inches. Ideal for church use.
