ANTIQUE FRENCH BRONZE PINK MARBLE IRIS FLOWER STAINED GLASS OIL LAMP CONVERTED
We are pleased to offer this GORGEOUS. Old, antique French converted oil lamp. The lamp is exceptional. Designed in the same manner as other French oil lamps of this period(late 1800s) this beauty is set apart by the fantastic color pattern. The lamp has a long center column of pink marble with lots of intricate and colorful veins. The marble ranges from a true pink with peach, deep plum and white veins. The glass oil reservoir is satin frost with raised, embossed leaves that rise from the bottom section of the bowl. There are three, large Iris flowers which circle the vessel. Each flower is a different color. There is a peach flower, a purple flower and a deep rose colored flower. The flower colors are not a reverse paint, but rather an opaque, stained effect color. This is a beautiful feature. The marble and glass are coupled with ornate ... morebronze hardware. The base features four, clawed, acanthus leaf feet that are formed into a fleur de lis as they move up the base. There is an intricate pattern of draped swags which join to form hearts or spades. Inside the hearts/spades are acanthus features. There are also Gothic/Celtic crosses which separate the patterns on the upper base section. Just above the base, at the lower column section, is a bronze torch"flame" The marble rests inside. A column cap finishes the marble column at the top. This is an exceptional, RARE lamp. It is in extremely nice condition for its age. There are no chips, cracks, etc. to either the glass or the marble. The gilt finish is still present and the bronze is gorgeous. This is an incredible lamp! The pictured shade is not included but the lamp does come with the harp(it is fixed) and a very nice, ornate finial. The lamp has been converted at some point to electric. The wiring is older vintage. But in good working condition. Most of the original hardware has been retained. The lamp could be converted back to oil if you so choose. Vintage Medicine 1899 Vapo-Cresolene Mini Oil Lamp Cure Diphtheria Scarlet Fever
Up for bids we offer an original Vapo-Cresolene quack medicine vaporizer device. Still in the original box. It's from the Victorian era and resembles a miniature oil lamp that's set inside an ornate, cast iron stand. It comes with the original instructions and an extra iron stand that is nearly identical but a little older. The Vapo-Cresolene was used as sort of an early inhaler that utilized the small kerosene lamp to heat up carbolic acid, a germicide, turning it into an anticeptic. The literature and box claimed this device could be used to treat diptheria, spasmodic croup, whooping cough, asthma, scarlet fever, bronchitis, measles, broncho pneumonia and more. In addition, it was claimed that this vaporizer could be used for the respiratory diseases of animals including horses, dogs and fowl. The glass font of the lamp is embossed ... morewith the words: Vapo Cresolene Kerosene" The burner with original wick is in excellent shape. The glass chimney has some flaws(chip-hairline) from past use but the overall condition of this device is very good. All the parts are there. The extra stand/base is in nice shape and has a patent date of Aug. 8'88 while the complete set is marked Aug. 8'99. The box is in very good shape for its age. Although it's missing most of its cover, the graphics are very good and it only has minor wear. The Vapo-Cresolene Vaporizer was marketed and sold between the 1880s and early 1900s. Rare find from an estate sale. Is this Sea line brass oil lamp that sets in wall bracket. As the ship rocks with the waves. The bracket holds the lamp. So it stays upright; the rings rotate. Causing the lamp to stay upright, so the light doesn't tip. The glass globe fits into rim. So it stays on the lamp as the ship rocks. The brass bottom has Sea line marked on the front and"British Starhinge Burner" is written just below where wick comes up. On the knob that raises and lowers wick is marked"Sherwoods Ltd. BHAM" At the estate sale there was one of these lamps on each side of the fire place. But I only managed to get one of them. Here is a French Brass Lampe Pigeon a unique original and very collectible prototype of the hand carried oil lamp. This lamp still has the wick in place and is engraved as it won the Silver Medal in the 1885 Paris Exhibit for new inventions. This lamp is made from brass and is engraved in French as being the Silver Winner in this Exhibition. It is approximately 7 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter and weighs 10.2 ounces. Antique 1876. Miniature Hurricane Oil Lamp, Turquoise Blue Glass, Brass Burner, Offered here is a beautiful antique. Miniature oil lamp. It is made of swirled glass done in teal blue with a clear glass chimney that features the same swirled pattern. This lamp is complete and original, comes with a heavy cotton wick and the burner is made of a heavy duty brass. This piece has a patent date on the burner that reads April 13 1876 and there is a company name that I cannot make out just underneath the date. This lamp is in excellent overall condition and measures 8 1/2" tall by 3" in diameter as measured at the bottom of the base. This lamp is a rare find. It is over 140 years old and is in wonderful condition for it's age.

Vintage Ceramic Harp (Oil Lamp?) Statue with Cherubs/Cupids
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! THIS PIECE IS IN NEED OF RESTORATION. I am not sure. But have been told, that it may have originally been an oil lamp. It is missing the strings of the harp, and I was also told that there may have been a base that went with it, but I only have this piece. Hard for me to put a date on this exactly. If I had to guess, I would say form 30s or 40s. The harp is adorned with purple and gold flowers. And green and gold leaves. It also has larger pink and gold roses near the bottom. There is some crazing, most noticable on the cupids. Some paint has rubbed off in spots. The piece is about 15" tall and 12" wide. I would say is it in'acceptable' condition. there are some pieces chipped off. Mostly on the leaves. There were a couple'repairs' that were made on the roses. It also needs cleaning. Oil lamp brass font with key operating lifting burner round wick vintage
A Brass vintage oil lamp font with round wick type burner. On the cracked winder insert is a cross. And on the filler cap is a star. All the chimney fingers are in place and when the key is turned will lift with ease, and looking at the mechanism all looks well. The wick winder does not seem to work so will need attention. Here's a Vintage Sterling Silver Aladdin's Lamp Table Cigar Lighter fully hallmarked for Mappin& Webb. Birmingham, 1940/41. It measures approx. 6" long by 2.5" wide by 4" high. Weighs a gross 133g and is in very good used condition with little signs of use, retaining all its original parts including the wick. The photo itself is 8& 1/4" by 6& 1/4" With the mat included it is 12" by 10" It is in excellent condition with no bends. Tears, creases or stains.
