2 Antique “Drip by Drop” Apothecary bottles
Up for bid are 2 S mall, R ound“ Drip by Drop” Apothecary bottle s The tops are ground to fit like a glove. They have two grooves and a beak for dropping liquid. On the neck of bottle there are two grooves– one for liquid and one for air. When grooves on the stopper meet the grooves on the neck. Liquid can be dropped. IT WORKS AMAZINGLY WELL! If stopper is turned and grooves don't match protrudes bottle is closed(locked) and liquid can not be dropped. The shape and type would allow for a tiny drop to be poured out of the bottle without removing the cap. The clear bottle is 3 ½ inches tall. It is in very nice condition. The stopper has a small chip on the bottom to the right of the beak– see photo 3 The amber bottle almost 3 ½ inches. It has a heart shaped stopper but the principle is the same. Antique Tooled leather physicians medicine carrier, holds 6 pill bottles.
This is a real nice and very well constructed leather medicine bottle carrier. It has a snap to close. Personalized with initials EEK, canvas lined interior glued to the leather, holds six pill bottles. Five of the six bottles have cork tops and gold paper label with something written on the front but cannot make it out. The smallest bottle does have a good label and a fancy metal cap. The bottle separators are actually the small straps you see on the back that are fed thru and tied off. The leather is still soft and in very good condition. Extra effort was taken to add the tooled borders and stylized front flap. It measures 5 3/8" wide and 3" high. and 1" thick. I'm guessing late 19th c and possibly very early 20th c. One bottle seems to have original stopper. The rest are missing their toppers. The castor unit is made of silver electroplated metal. The handle seems to be missing its electroplating probably from use. Size: The entire set stands 14 inches tall 6 1/2 inches in diameter. For your consideration is this antique/vintage travelling case with 4 tube bottles with metal screw tops for pills or medicine. I guess a doctor might carry this with him out on house calls(those were the days) The case measures about 3.5" x 4" The bottles are about 3.5" high x 1" wide. The bottles aren't marked. But the snap on the case looks like it's stamped C.F. Co. We are also listing another leather travelling case with a set of 6 bottles that have old labels on them with medicine we never heard of.

Antique Leather Doctor's Saddle Bag Geo. K. Hopkins & Co 1885 w/Orig 24 Bottles
C2506. these saddle bags are dated and they are also stamped-Stephens Patent. Geo. K. Hopkins& Co. June 30, 1885, Sole Agents, St. Louis, Mo. there are 24 bottles, there are 7 bottles with orig. paper labels with medical names. I can read a few of them-Zinc, Iodine, Chloriform, and others that I am not sure of the spellings. there are two sizes of bottles-15 large bottles about 3" tall and 9 small bottles about 2 1/2" tall. both original front turn closures work well. the bags have seperated into two seperate bags-one bag has the long leather piece from when they were connected and the other bag does not. the leather is in reasonable but worn& used condition. the original tin/metal liner is in the worst condition of the lot and some of it is missing and some is flaking off. the bottles are in good condition about 9 or so ... moreof them have easily removable corks and some are missing their cork stoppers and a few of them have small chips but most are in very good undamaged condition. I have never washed the bottles out because I thought that a chemist or doctor or research person might could use todays technology to find out what's in the bottles. the bottles fit with the larger ones on the bottom drawer and the small ones on the top drawer. the top drawers fold outward and downward to expose the top and bottom drawers at the same time. they both work. thank you for looking and please visit all my collectibles and antiques in my store and at auction. Sterling overlay. The Design on each includes a flower Iris or Daffodil? and a Solid Silver plate with ornamental“vines” Beautiful! Both need to be polished and interiors cleaned as they have Cloudiness. Moisture residue, build up inside. I did not want to risk doing any damage to these pieces so I left them As-Is. One has a little wider cover lip. The Stoppers are complete. One has a“fracture” Bottom of stem, but it seems to be internal. Both have chipping/fleabites along stem bottoms. The One Stopper with the“fracture” was hand-blown and is hollow. The other Stopper is Solid. Each are similar size but have a little different shape. These two really complement each other. Ky 1 qt in raised letters on the bottom says yellowstone bottle 315 in a diamond I have no idea on age of these.

3 Antique Apothecary Bottles/ Jars with Original Stoppers– All Different These bottles and matching stoppers are in very nice shape. On the left is a 4 inch tall wide mouth. Side seams. Tooled finish. In the middle is a 7 inch bottle with side seams. ABM. There is a 51 and an O in a square embossed on the bottom. On the right is a 9 ½ inch tall(with stopper) with no seams. Tooled finish. Nice wavy glass with some type of machined pontil mark on the bottom. The glass stopper has an 8 hand-etched into it. This bottle has content stain. See photos. A theory has been put forward that most or all of the Kokutani ware was actually created in Arita rather than just influenced by the ceramics being created there. Kokutani enjoyed popularity for the next few decades until the Kutani suddenly closed down in 1730. References Kutani ware( 九谷焼, Kutani-yaki? is a style of Japanese porcelain Gotō Saijirō. A member of the Maeda clan. Set up a kiln in the village of Kutani(now part of the city of Kaga) on the order of Maeda Toshiharu. Ruler of the Kaga domain. The porcelain style is known for multiple colors—such as greens. Ma. in the early 1980's and these bottles along with other items were from a country store being cleaned out. These 2 bottles I've had in my collection since then and I try to put only near perfect to perfect in my collection, as I know a lot of folks do, except when a special bottle comes along from digging and it has a special meaning to us, even if it has a flaw. These 2 bottles have never seen a dump and have no chips, cracks, or scratches, nice bottles to put right in your collection. Beautiful antique inkwell made of metal. Probably brass? I don't know anything about it. It is unmarked as far as I can tell. Nice detailed wild turkey on a branch with double inkwell and double pen holder. The problems are listed above. Two chips on one bottle's bottom corners and lid which is corroded on hinge on the other. They are crystal. Also the brass is scratched up, but still displays beautifully. Very heavy. Over 4 lbs. Up for auction is a rare antique Chinese silver& enamel folding hinged medicine snuff bottles. They are all finely engraved in chinoiserie manner; each bottle has different design. They are 1 3/4" tall. 3/4" wide, 3/8" thick(each) or 3" wide when lay flat unfolded; together they weigh heavy for the size 100 grams. They are in excellent condition. No reserve.
